Dear Adalya Baez,

Goal setting and reflecting this year has allowed me to work on my assignments with my goals in mind
and I am able to better my skills. Reflecting has allowed me to look back and fix my mistakes when I do
my other assignments. This year has been rough, it started off horribly with the loss of my dog and
having to get a cyst removed, but very quickly after changing my mindset on how to look at what
happened into something more positive. This year I went to see where my mother was born in Mexico
and build my relationship with my family. Getting to work with children and figuring out what I want to
do after high school and becoming more involved.

Right now, I am just trying to finish off high school and get the rest of my projects done. Along with that
figuring out how we are going to run the daycare when me and Ellyza join so that we do not butt heads
or fight because now we must be professional. I hope when the time comes, I can join college life and
start going to get a degree to help improve daycare and as I do that figure out what we must do to get
into the 5-star program. Along with getting my degree I fear that I will not want to go back to school and
that working and going to school is going to get to me, but I hope that I can preserver so that I can
benefit myself. When I eventually get my degree, I hope to teach preschool level and run the daycare at
the same time and grow to where we do not have to worry about our next meal or when our next
paycheck is. As of now I am proud of how far I have gotten with all the bumps in the road starting the
year with one of the most painful loss of a loved one and having a medical issue I have been able to
leave that behind and move on and work on getting good grades and not allowing the sadness to
overwhelm me.

Physically these last few years our house has been through a lot of recent changes, we got new flooring
everywhere, we got decorative stone on the walls, built proper cubies for the kids, and painted a few
rooms. In my room not much changed we moved the dog cages moved to a different wall and we have
boxes everywhere because dad wants us to wait so he can finish the baseboards and paint. The biggest
change is that I went from having two crates, one for Snow and one for Wonka to having now only one
and it is for Juniper. The animal count has changed too we started with only two poodles, and we quickly
added 2 guinea pigs, then two French bulldogs, then one more guinea pig, soon that guinea pig needed
a friend, so we got another one, now in November of 2021 I got an early Christmas/late birthday present
a jack russel terrier and life has not been the same. Our neighborhood also has developed another
housing development in the front and the traffic is crazy so now when you look at our home all you see
are houses on houses and there are not any stores nearby. And finally, after 2 years we have a guest
bedroom/classroom Victoria has finally moved out and we could utilize the room to fit our family better.

Now let us talk about favorites, let us start with music. I love Billie, Doja Cat, and Christina Aguilera. I
love having a mixed playlist because I do not know what I want at a certain time so listening to all my
favorites is amazing. As of right now my Favorite movie is Mitchells vs the Machines because some of
the characters remind me of our daycare kids and family members, it is also a movie that makes me
laugh every time I watch it. My Favorite Tv shows are criminal minds, euphoria, bob’s burgers, and the
Simpsons like my music they are all very different but each are amazing in their own way like criminal
minds is perfect to watch when I am doing laundry or cleaning, euphoria is a good show to watch on
your own and my friend and I talk about the show when we find something funny, Bob’s Burgers is an
amazing show that my entire family watches together because it's funny and has hidden inappropriate
jokes, and the Simpsons is something that I watch when I am doing my homework.
I would love to give a shout out to my first-year English teacher / internship mentor Mrs. MacDonald has
been so welcoming and kind though everything I do and is super supportive in my decisions and gives
me advice. Next shout out to all my daycare family they have seen our struggles and helped me with
what they can and always support me though what is going on and has allowed me to be a part of their
children's life. Most importantly my parents, my mom, have led us to what I want to do and have helped
and supported me through everything. She is proud of me and how far I have gone even has shown us
how to work hard for what you want. Finally, my dad has shown me that I must put the work int to get
what I want and where I want, he has also been supportive when I debated on what I wanted to do.

Bucket List before I am 50

1. Have a degree In Early Childhood Development

2. Become a hand on daycare/preschool teacher
3. Buy a home near my family
4. Have a standard size poodle
5. Allow my parents to retire
6. Travel to London
7. Live in London for 1 year
8. Get married
9. Adopt kids
10. Go skydiving

Where I am right now is something that I am proud of, and I cannot wait to see where I am going and
what I choose to do. I am excited to grow as a person and become a successful worker and hopefully a
business owner. I also want to have a better view of myself and focus on myself and not so much on
others.

Stay tuned,

Adalya Baez
