Provided physical therapy intervention in an acute care setting in the Orthopedic service line
consisting of services to a diverse population with a variety of medical conditions. Skilled care
included maximizing functional mobility, assistive device assessment/training, patient caregiver
training, maximizing home safety, advocating for patients, discharge planning, and gait training.
Demonstrated interprofessional collaboration through communication with nurses, social
workers, OT’s, PA’s and administrative staff. Enhanced my clinical judgement and ability to adapt
my skills to meet patient need to deliver exceptional care.

Provided physical therapy intervention for a variety of out-patient Orthopedic conditions.
Rehabilitated a variety of diagnoses such as rotator cuff repair, shoulder impingements, low back
pain, cervical (neck) pain, posture re-education, Parkinson’s Disease (LSVT Loud), post TKA, post
THA, and Foot and Ankle. Skilled care included pain management, gait training, functional
activity training, stair navigation training, modalities, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and
patient education. Increased my clinical problem-solving skills, knowledge, and overall
professional development.

SWEDISH COVENANT HOSPITAL, IN-PATIENT ACUTE CARE
 Provided physical therapy intervention for post in-patient orthopedic surgeries and a variety
of neurological diseases and other medical conditions. Skilled care included assistive device
training, bed mobility, transfer training, gait assessment, stair negotiation education,
breathing exercises, and caregiver training. Developed flexibility and time-management skills
between the Acute care setting and in-patient rehabilitation setting. Demonstrated inter-
professional collaboration through communication with nurses, CNAs, social workers, case
managers, OTs, RTs and administrative staff.
