Rescue Procedure:
The following rescue procedures should be followed for confined space rescue:
 Access the situation which demands rescue from confined space.
Approved by:
 Adopt best suited below listed recue procedure.

A. Entry by trained rescue team–


 Rescue team to access the situation and plan the rescue work with appropriate equipment.
 Always follow Buddy system and enter the confined space with Airline mask/SCBA based on scenario
 If rescue required from depth, use folding stretcher along with pulley and rescue rope or explore the possibility to evacuate casualty using ramp or temporary steps.
 If rescue from Confined equipment, secure the casualty over the folding stretcher and shift the causality to the outside from manhole/where they will be supported by second team.
 Use Tripod, swiss roll, ropes, based on the conditions at site.
 Once the casualty brought to the safer place, paramedic will assess the person/s for any injury and physical impact
 Immediately shifted the person/s to OB Medical centre or nearby hospital in the ambulance.

Rescue Procedure:
The following rescue procedures should be followed (A) through (C), with (A) being the preferred method and (C) being the method used when there is no other means of rescue.

A. Rope and Ladder Rescue—Rescue using Ropes and ladder to rescue the fallen worker with the procedure outlined below.
B. Rescue from Work Area —If the fallen worker is suspended near a work area and can be safely reached from the area
 Where possible, use ladder(s) to reach the victim. from which they fell or the floor below, use the following procedure:

 Identify the anchor point if needed.  Use Swiss roll devices and ropes, ascending/descending devices as needed to reach the site of incident.
 Rig separate lifelines and fall arrest equipment for rescuers to use while assessing the victim from the ladder(s).  Ensure that rescuers are protected against falling.
 If victim is not conscious or cannot reliably help with their own rescue, at least two rescuers will be needed.  If possible, securely attach a second line to the workers’ harnesses to assist in pulling/lowering them to a safe
