1. Introduction:
Fire alarm provide a means to detect and identify a fire or a potential
fire outbreak in a building, warn the occupants of the building about
the fire via audible alarm and potentially notify emergency response
professionals. The main components of a Fire alarm circuit are
typically the heat detectors (and other detectors like smoke, gas
detectors), manual call points (also called ‘break glass’) which enable
a person who physically detects fire to raise the alarm, bell or alarm
sounders, flashers, and control panel (central control and indicating
equipment) which is the brain of the system. Some advantages of fire
alarms include an early warning benefit and the potential to save life
and property, low cost and the opportunity to place the device in
chosen locations.

1. System Development:
2.1 Block Diagram

2.2 Block Diagram Explanation

1) (Buzzer) :- It is responsible for bringing up the sound . It will also be having a
speaker or a buzzer to alert.
2) (Green LED) :- shows the glow when the fire detecter detects the fire.
3) (Switch):- Electrical switches are used to perform all the electrical functions.
From a fan to bulb, every electrical equipment we use in our day to day life is
useless without a switch! A switch is designed to break or make the flow of
connectivity in the electronic circuit automatically or manually.
4) (battery):-A nine-volt battery, either disposable or rechargeable, is usually
used in fire alarms, smoke detectors, walkie-talkies, transistor radios, test and
instrumentation devices, medical batteries, LCD displays, and other small
portable appliances.
5) IR sensors are now widely used in heat detectors, which are used in
building services to detects heat in Fire alarm. In a defined angle range,
the sensor elements detect the heat radiation (infrared radiation) that
changes over time and space due to the movement of people.

2.6 Working Explanation
There are different types of infrared transmitters depending on
their wavelengths, output power and response time. An IR sensor
consists of an IR LED and an IR Photodiode, together they are called
as Photo Coupler or Opto Couples. Infrared Transmitter is a light
emitting diode (LED) which emits infrared radiations called as IR
LED’s. Even though an IR LED looks like a normal LED, the radiation
emitted by it is invisible to the human .The emitter is an IR LED and
the detector is an IR photodiode. The IR photodiode is sensitive to the
IR light emitted by an IR LED. The photo-diode’s resistance and
output voltage change in proportion to the IR light received. This is the
underlying working principle of the IR sensor. When the IR transmitter
emits radiation, it reaches the object and some of the radiation reflects
back to the IR receiver. Based on the intensity of the reception by the
IR receiver, the output of the sensor defines.

3 System Development:
3.1 Results
• This micro project helps to save from fire.
• In this project we have used buzzer and red light to get alert from
fire.
• 3We can save life due to this project.
• It also gives warning when there is any smoke in building or in
apartment.

4 Conclusion

4.1 Advantages
4.1 Low cost
4.2 Reliable
4.3 Fast response
4.4 Circuit can be easily constructed
4.5 High level security
4.6 Easy to design
4.7 Easy to modify
4.8 Low power consumption
4.9 Portable

4.2 Disadvantages
• False alarm
• Blinded by thick smoke
• Senses near range heat(fire) only
• Uses continuous power supply

4.3 Applications

1. Fire alarm in office

2. Remote LCD Annunciator
3. Fire alarm in hotel rooms
4. Fire alarm in schools
5. Fire alarm in hospital

4.4 Learning Outcomes

• In these project we have get understand how to get connection

• We get understand about battery and positive terminal and negative terminal
• In these project we have understand L.E.D and positive terminal and negative terminal
• And we get understand and draw Circuit Diagram
• And we get interest about electronic

4.5 Conclusion
• Thus, we conclude from this fire alarm is used for safety and emergency purpose.
This is not only use in houses but also in any type of buildings.
• In this way we have successfully able to make a small report of micro roject.
• Hence from this micro project we have successfully able to make a connection
between circuits and draw it’s circuit diagram.
