Project Title Music video : L$D by A$AP ROCKY

Section 1: Review (Approx 100 words)
Throughout the course I have gained both knowledge and experience in the
theory and practical aspects of media production. For example, I’ve learnt
how to operate and shoot with cameras (Sony X70 – HD camcorder) and
developed my editing skills with the colleges chosen software, premiere pro. I
have identified my strengths and weaknesses including strengths: pre -
production, directing and social media. My main Weaknesses are confidence
with editing and understanding of premiere pro I also struggle with pitches to
work on this I could practice more beforehand. For this project I will be co
directing co editing and coproducing.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 200 words)

Myself and grace are working in a collaborative group of two producing a
music video to the song L$D by asap rocky, the main theme we want to
portray in the music video is the intimacy of love. We also want to convey
how drugs such as L$D (psychedelics) can have a large effect on our
perception when it comes to love and relationships, whether it enhances it
positively or warps it negatively. Using our research into the effects of
psychedelic drugs we discovered a recurring pattern, being those who have
taken LSD have said visually they have seen vibrant colors and patterns
surrounding everyday objects. In order to recreate this effect, we decided the
best method is to use a green screen and projector to create bright euphoric
lighting and patterns in order to incapsulate the experience of having a ‘trip".
We have decided on three main locations, one being Kew stoke cliff side,
sand bay beach and the Weston college studio we will require minimal props
for this project as our focus will be our actors from college Liv and Oli.To
achieve this we will be focusing on the three main stages of production (pre-
production , production, and postproduction).

Section 3: Evaluation (approx 50 words)

My evaluation will be ongoing meaning I’ll be taking notes weekly via Weebly
(online website) to document the process of the project, if there is an issue that
needs to be overcome, I will site it in the reflections area of my website. working
collaboratively always has its risks although it can create a positive experience
where ideas can be conversed and shared it can also create a negative
atmosphere where either member of the project feels isolated or less involved. A
way to minimize this possibility is by having frequent team meetings regarding our
process and group ideas.
