Divine Domain: Suffering Domain
There is no life without pain. Those who devote themselves to this path believe if one must suffer, then
it should not be meaningless. Whether a selfless martyr or a depraved sadist, clerics of this domain
embrace pain & suffering to further their mission.

As pain and suffering owes no allegiance, there is a great spectrum of alignments and ideologies that
make use of these tools; for good, ill, or otherwise. In the Realms, deities of this domain include:
Illmater, the One Who Endures and Lovitar, the Maiden of Pain. In other worlds, this domain includes
Ania, Achus, Lupe, and Angerona.

Pointed Misery
1st-level Suffering Domain feature

You provide meaning to pain, weaponizing your loss of vitality, or using it to bolster your allies. When a
creature hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to grant temporary hit points equal to half
the damage to 2 creatures of your choice. Alternatively, you can rebuke an attacker with radiant or
necrotic damage (your choice) equal to half the damage taken. Once you rebuke an attacker, you can’t
do so again until you roll initiative at the start of combat or until you finish a short or long rest. You can
use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses
when you finish a long rest.
Channel Divinity: Stave off the End
2nd-level Suffering Domain feature

If any damage would reduce you to 0 hit points, you can use your Channel Divinity (no action required)
to instead drop to 1 hit point and gain a number of temporary hit points equal to three times your cleric
level.

Channel Divinity: Righteous Suffering


6th-level Suffering Domain feature

If you are subject to a damage roll, after the outcome has been resolved, you may use your reaction to
expend a use Channel Divinity. Doing so grants you a +1 bonus on ability checks, attack rolls, and saving
throws. On subsequent turns, you may continue to use your reaction in this manner (without additional
uses of Channel Divinity), gaining a cumulative +1 bonus, up to a maximum equalling your proficiency
bonus. This bonus lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration (as if concentrating on a spell).

Divine Strike
8th-level Suffering Domain feature

You gain the ability to infuse your weapon attacks with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when
you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 radiant or necrotic
damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

8th-level Suffering Domain feature

On your turn, if you use your action to cast a spell with a range of self or touch that requires a spell
attack roll, you may channel the spell through your weapon. As a bonus action immediately after casting
such a spell, you can make a melee weapon attack using your spell attack modifier. On a hit, the spell
leaps from your weapon to the target, dealing weapon damage as well as the effects of the spell. On a
miss, the target takes no damage and the spell slot is wasted.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use your Divine Strike feature until you finish a short or
long rest.

Aspect of Endurance
17th-level Suffering Domain feature

You become the paragon of suffering. You gain the following benefits:
· Your Constitution score is 22 and can only be increased further through magical means.
· You don't need to eat, drink, or breathe.
· If you are below half your hit point maximum at the start of your turn, you regain 5 hit points.
· If you die, you return to life 24 hours after death. If your body is destroyed, you reform within 1
mile of the place of your death at a spot determined by the DM. If your equipment was also
destroyed, you do not regain it. You may decide to allow your soul to pass on to the afterlife any
time you die.
