represents the spirits they feel most connected
to. Through their rage, they allow the spirits to
take partial control of their bodies, allowing their enemies
glimpses of the terrifying beings that lurk beyond the veil.
When an enemy looks into the eyeholes of a raging
barbarian’s mask, they see the spirit’s eyes staring back at
them.
Fearsome Visage
To commune with the spirits, you craft a terrifying mask
known as your fearsome visage. This mask represents your
spirit guide or another spirit you feel connected to. At third
level when you select this path, you gain a Fearsome Visage
Mask. While you are raging and wearing this mask, when you
hit an enemy with a melee attack, you can force them to make
a wisdom saving throw as part of the attack. The DC is 8 +
your Charisma modifier + your prof. bonus. On a failed save,
they are frightened for one minute. They can repeat their save
at the end of each of their turns, ending this effect on a
success
Once a creature has successfully saved against your
Fearsome Visage, it is immune to its effects for 24 hours.
If you ever lose your Fearsome Visage, you may craft a
replacement over to course of a short or long rest by
expending 25 gp worth of rare components.
Spirit Guides
You may ask your spirit guides for guidance. At third level, you
may cast the augury and identify spells as rituals, requiring
no material components except your fearsome visage.
Otherworldly Sight
At sixth level, you can channel a portion of the spirit realm’s
power, even when you’re not raging. While wearing your
Fearsome Visage, you gain blindsight with a radius of 20 feet
and can see into the ethereal plane within the same radius.
Furious Rebuke
At tenth level, the spirits you channel gain strength from the
terror they cause. You have advantage on all attacks against
frightened targets. Additionally, anyone you target with your
fearsome visage feature who can see a frightened creature
within 10 feet of them has disadvantage on its saving throw
against that feature.
Insubstantial Form
At fourteenth level, your connection with the spirits allow you
to flow partially into the spirit world. While raging, you
assume an only partially substantial form, gaining advantage
on all stealth checks, a fly speed equal to your movement
speed, and the ability to move through solid creatures and
objects during your movement. If you end your movement in
a solid creature or object, you take 2d10 force damage.
