INTRODUCTION
Knowing our family background is very important, knowing where we came from will
lead us to a better perspective in life. It allows us appreciate the things that we usually
took for granted. I came from a happy family despite of all challenges we’ve been
through, 8 members including our parents. My mother natives of lanao del sur, they
originated in lumba-bayabao. The clan is an extended family that includes the father,
mother, siblings, cousins, in-laws, aunts, nephews, nieces, and the. We should value
our clan because in terms of difficulties that we encounter in our lives the first one that
canscue us is our clan members. My father came from a happy family that were known
in our place, and they were known as rich, kind-hearted, humble, and religious. My
father was too spoiled to my grandfather because he is the only son of my grandparents
and the youngest among the three siblings. My father finished this arabic studies in
jamiatul muslim mindanao with the studies of da’wah. But, unfortunately he is not
destined to become a alim because of some reasons. When my grandfather died that
was the time that my father regretted many things including for not listening to his
father’s advice to him and he realized that his decision for not taking the board
examination is a big loss of him.
This researcher chose her maternal side for the data gathering. It is conveniently to
collect the required data because the researchers are relatively closed to the
respondents. The researcher used an interview method in collecting the data. The
researcher used Microsoft excel to determine the frequency counts, percentage
distribution, mean, median, mode, standard deviation and variance of each given Socio-
Demographic profile of the respondents. The population in this clan survey consist of 70
respondents who are close related to the researcher. The researcher used tabular form
in presenting the frequency counts and percentage distribution of the collected data.
The researcher’s chose her both paternal and maternal side for the data for the reason
that she was close to the both side of her family. Even she was close to the both, she
struggled to have their interview due to have a different municipality but she didn’t give
up and managed to have it. The researcher has interviewed some of her family
members but most of her respondents came from her mother side because she was
staying at her mother’s hometown and it was easy for her to get in touched to her
relatives in her mother’s side which is the Lawi family. The study made used of
Microsoft Excel to determine the frequency, percentage, mean, median, mode, standard
deviation, range and variance of each given profile of Socio Demographic.
In this part, the researcher presents the data in tabular forms and analyses using
frequency and percentage distribution for the data of the researcher clan survey. The
study gathers the data for the mean, median, variance, standard deviation, and mode.
Relationship between two variables was obtained using bivariate data analysis. Result
and interpretation are showed to further understand the summary and meaning of the
gathered data.
This section presents the data of the LAWI in SULTAN Clan Survey. The data are
presented in tabular form and analyzed using frequency distribution. Brief interpretation
and discussions are also given to exemplify the meaning of the data and further
understanding.
