-Activating Prior Knowledge

Before we begin your journey to the smallest possible scale in the realm of
science, try answering these questions:

Can you think of fields where size or weight of materials or products is important?

-Yes, actually these sizes, weight, of fields of materials or products are

also important during the sorting engineer activities, they prioritizing the
measurements of every material even when you are using some products you
need also to seize the perfect measurements, sizes and weight of the product
before you consume it.

Can you build a statue from a pile of dust?

-Literally yes, if you have a lot of time, remember that in desserts, there’s a
lot of sand formation only constructed used by climates and wind.

Can you think of situations were scientist have to make assumptions because
they couldn’t see what they were studying?

-In my side, scientist has a lot of theories, where they are not sure that this
is a fact information on about they studied it is only a theory which explain there
that even they didn’t see what they’re studying, they can give an opinion about
that.

Do you think we are capable in unlocking the key to how natural elements are
designed and created?

-For me yes, but we can surely that we can easily figure it out what
elements are designed and grated by own capabilities.

In pairs, answer the following question:

1.What are the possible innovations can nanotechnology offer?

-I think the possible innovations can nanotechnology is the

Nanotechnology is rapidly gaining traction across a range of industries, from
agriculture to water treatment to energy storage. While nanotechnology was
first developed in 1959 as a way of manipulating matter at the atomic and
molecular level, it wasn’t until the early 2000s that it really began to flourish.
Today, nanotechnology is one of the most innovative, cutting-edge areas of
scientific study and it continues to advance at staggering rates.
From scientists at technology.

2. Why do you think few scientists works on nanotechnology?

I think the few scientist works on nanotechnology because

nanotechnology Today's scientists and engineers are finding a wide variety of
ways to deliberately make materials at the nanoscale to take advantage of
their enhanced properties such as higher strength, lighter weight, increased
control of light spectrum, and greater chemical reactivity than their larger-scale
counterparts. Scientists are working on nanotechnology solution for radioactive
waste cleanup, specifically the use of for the removal of radioactive ions from
water. Nanoscience and nanotechnology involve the ability to see and to
control individual atoms and molecules. Everything on Earth is made up of
atoms the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the buildings and houses we live
in, and our own bodies. But something as small as an atom is impossible to see
with the naked eye. In fact, it’s impossible to see with the microscopes typically
used in a high school science classes.

3.Do you think nanotechnology be applicable to solve environmental problems?

- I think Nano technological products, processes and applications are

expected to contribute significantly to environmental and climate protection by
saving raw materials, energy and water as well as by reducing greenhouse
gases and hazardous wastes. Using nanomaterials therefore promises certain
environmental benefits and sustainability effect.

4.In the world of medicine, nanotechnology can play a big role in the repair of
cells, cure diseases and even delay aging, if this happens, what would this
mean to our society?

-In the world of medicine, nanotechnology because The human

characteristics of curiosity, wonder, and ingenuity are as old as mankind. People
around the world have been harnessing their curiosity into inquiry and the
process of scientific methodology. Recent years have witnessed an
unprecedented growth in research in the area of nanoscience. There is
increasing optimism that nanotechnology applied to medicine and dentistry will
bring significant advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of
disease.

Feedback

From those innovations presented in class, think of a product or output that is

made up of nanomaterial that has an impact in various aspects (health,

environment, economy etc.) that you want to create. Present it in class next

meeting.
- In the year 2006 an estimated 1.1 billion people lack access to safe
drinking water and estimated 1.1 million feel victim to waterborne disease.
This potentially life-enhancing innovation makes it possible to produce
water by harvesting the hairs humidity through a process of condensation
this invention will allow many people to have access to clean and health
water every day, simply by using energy of the wind. It is very
environmental-friendly. Economy would also benefit from this since only
requires air to produce water.
