5. Types of Drive test tasks..

1. Site Acceptance: (Dynamic tests and Static tests)

2. Clusters:

1. Site Acceptance:

A. Dynamic tests.

All dynamic tests must done by Using FTP Servers that will provide to you from the
vendor or operator to download and upload large files.

Note:
 To stop Process queue for either DL/UL in Filezilla click “Stop and remove all”
available in the right click options in “Queued files” tab at the bottom of the Filezilla
window.
5. Types of Drive test tasks..

• FTP Servers as below snap

5. Types of Drive test tasks.

• FTP DL Using FileZilla:-

 DL using FileZilla can be done selecting and then dropping the required files from
Server Database to the selected folder in our drive.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

• FTP UL Using FileZilla:-

 UL using FileZilla can be done selecting and then dropping the required files from
selected folder in our drive to the Server Database.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

• FTP UL Using FileZilla:-

 UL using FileZilla can be done selecting and then dropping the required files from
selected folder in our drive to the Server Database.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

• Procedure for Dynamic DT:

 DL coverage. (mobile or modem)(FTP)

Make a dynamic DL test in front of antenna beam width for each sector with heavy
download by using FTP Servers with open multi sessions of YouTube to reach to the
maximum with open Netpersecond even must make handover between all sectors of the site
in both of ways and from our site to another sites in both of ways during the dynamic test.

 UL coverage. (mobile or modem)(FTP)

Make a dynamic UL test in front of antenna beam width for each sector with heavy
download by using FTP Servers with open multi sessions of YouTube to reach to the
maximum with open Netpersecond even must make handover between all sectors of the site
in both of ways and from our site to another sites in both of ways during the dynamic test.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

• Procedure for Dynamic DT:

Like below snap:

5. Types of Drive test tasks.

B. Static Tests:

 Static tests : All tests should be done for each sector at good radio conditions
(SNR>25, CQI=15, RSRP < -70dbm)

1. Download using FTP/UDB server. (avg.>55 Mbps) depend on the LTE band width.

• Ensure that the UE is locked on LTE.

• Then take a screenshot of static DL from Netpersec as shown in next slide.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

2. Upload using FTP/UDB server. (avg.>17 Mbps) depend on the LTE band width.

• Ensure that the UE is locked on LTE.

• Then take a screenshot of static UL from Netpersec as shown below
5. Types of Drive test tasks.
3. CSFB (MO & MT) > each 2 tests should be done in idle and dedicated mode.

Make sure that the UE is in Good Radio Conditions i.e., (SNR>25, CQI=15, RSRP < -
70dbm)

Note : Connect the UE(MOBILE) with Not Locked mode.

 IDLE MODE CSFB:- Turn OFF the Mobile data

[START RECORDING]and initiate MOC then CSFB occurs from 4G to 3G and call is
established, terminate the call and wait until the cell reselection occurs to 4G [STOP
RECORDING] then [START RECORDING]repeat the same process by MTC[STOP
RECORDING].

 DEDICATED MODE CSFB:- Turn ON the mobile data and Run DL FTP using FileZilla.

[START RECORDING]and initiate MOC then CSFB occurs from 4G to 3G and call is
established, terminate the call and wait until the cell reselection occurs to 4G [STOP
RECORDING] then [START RECORDING]repeat the same process by MTC[STOP
RECORDING].
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

4. RRC attempts Attach/detach.

You will make the test by using Script.

• Lock the UE in LTE (Ensure Good Radio Condition).

• Turn OFF the UE data and load the script.
• [START RECORDING] RUN the script [STOP RECORDING].
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

5. CELL EDGE UL & DL (at RSRP from -100 to -108 dbm)

 FOR CELL EDGE DL: Ensure that the UE is Locked on LTE.

 [Record the Log File] Then take a screenshot of static Cell Edged from Netpersec as
shown below must exceed 5Mbps.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

 FOR CELL EDGE UL: Ensure that the UE is locked on LTE.

 [Record the Log File] Then take a screenshot of static Cell Edge UL from Netpersec as
shown below and must exceed 1 Mbps.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

6. IRAT from 4G to 3G:

 Ensure the UE is“ NOT LOCKED” mode with weak 4G signal of respective cell.
 Turn ON the mobile data and Run DL FTP using FileZilla.
 Now [START RECORDING]attenuate the UE so that the UE technology will make PS
RAT hand over to 3G (IRAT HANDOVER OCCURS) [STOP RECORDING

7. Ping. (avg. time<35ms):

 Ensure that the UE is in good radio conditions.

 Open CMD prompt using RUN command.
 Then type ping with IP and press ENTER.
 Then take a screenshot as shown in next slide.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

8. Web browsing and YOUTUBE streaming.

 Verify that you are able to browse and stream YouTube in the respective cell.
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

2. Clusters:

 DL (modem) (FTP) + attach/detach (modem) (script)

 UL (modem) (FTP)
 MOCSFB (script)
 IRAT 4G to 3G(Coverage drive in UE NOT Locked MODE)
 streaming clusters (locked the phone on 4G by using script)
5. Types of Drive test tasks.

• Notes
 LTE UE Attach.(Using Attach/Detach script).
 Browsing and YouTube to verify functionality.
 Speed test to verify DL/UL speeds normal values(Using OOkla Speed Test).
 CSFB: MT and MO calls.
 PSHO (4G to 3G).
• Ensure UE in NOT LOCKED mode and then start FTP DL and start moving towards a
3G cell and PSHO occurs if defined and can be confirmed by “HANDOVER TO
UTRAN ATTACH COMPLETED” in the TEMS EVENTS window.
 Latency(Ping Test).
