approved and Joan seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.

treasurer’s report be approved. Beverlee seconded the motion. The motion was passed

Committee Reports:
The membership report:
The membership letter with the new discount applied was presented for approval. The discount
is for the second person in a family to only pay the State Grange dues and the local dues will be
waived. The first person’s dues are $62 and the second person would be $38 making the total
for a 2 person family $100. Gloria had updated the brochure to make it more geared to our
local Grange. Kay moved the letter with the discount, and the brochure both be approved.
Tammy seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Old Business:
The Navajo Taco Dinner: The total receipts for the Navajo Taco Dinner were $850.00 Expenses
totaled $201.58 for a net profit of $648.42. The addition of a takeout component was successful
as more than half our orders were take out. We decided to keep that component in the future
until deemed unnecessary.

Sign: The decision was made to sand and repaint the sign. Kay will take it to her shop and
repaint it. Andy will take it down and take to her.

Directory of Redlands Mesa Businesses: A note was added to the membership letter offering
to advertise services on the Grange website and to hyperlink the website. Membership in the
Grange is not required. To date, no one has requested information on this service.
New Business:
Christmas tree and wreath sale: Barry researched sources for trees and greenery but no
reliable, affordable source was found. As time is running out for this year, we tabled this idea
and will bring it back next year.

Possible future fundraisers: we will not present a Holiday dinner and dance this year. Our next
fundraiser idea is a soup dinner for late January. We will discuss this in the December meeting.
Kane Hollins explored the idea of providing entertainment during this dinner. This idea was very
enthusiastically approved.

Other possible fundraisers for the coming year include:

St. Patrick’s Day dinner and dance
Welcome back summer barbecue
Harvest festival including kid’s activities and a craft fair
Navajo Taco Dinner
Holiday Dinner and Dance

Possible future service projects: Future service projects include another road cleanup; spring
cleaning of the Grange property with an emphasis on the playground and future site of the
pavilion; and a food drive.

Insurance: The question was raised as to what would happen with the property and especially
liability insurance when we add the pavilion, possible pickle ball court, and improved
playground. Jeri was directed to contact our insurance agent to find out.

As no further business was on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned by Andy at 7:30 pm. The
next meeting is set for December 15th, 2021 at 6:30 at Redlands Mesa Grange #487 Hall.
