syllable.

LEARNING OUTLINES:
1. Teacher explains to pupils that a few jobs and places will be called out. Pupils raise one hand if the word

is a job and two hands if the word is a place. Pupils play the activity. .
1. Pupil refer to textbook page 6 Activity 1. Teacher asks pupils to look at the picture and say 3
words beginning with the given letters (s, b, f and c). Pupils write their answers in their
exercise books.
2. Teacher and pupils discuss and list the words.
4. Teacher asks pupils how many syllables do the words have. Ex: photographer, police car,

business woman, bag, boat, bike, bakery, bread, flower, fur, feather, fisherman, fishing, fruit,
camera, car, chef,
5. Teacher underlines a syllable in a few words and show how to stress on words.
6. Teacher says the words with the stress and pupils circles the syllable that the teacher stresses.

Post Lesson 1. Teacher asks pupils to make 2 sentences based on the words and share them orally.
