4. PROCEDURES
4.1 Introductory Activity A. Greet the students, lead the prayer and then ask them to seat properly.
Good morning class…
Our father who art in heaven…
Give us today our daily bread…Amen

Who is absent in the second column?
C. Let the students recall the previous lesson.
Is there anyone who can recall our lesson last meeting?
D. The teacher will present a sample video of modern dance through a
multimedia presentation.
4.2 Activity The teacher will introduce and discuss to the students the Nature of Modern Dance. After
the discussion, the teacher will present another video about the basic movements of
modern dance.

4.3 Analysis The class will be divided into two groups. And then the teacher will let the students
construct steps using the basic movements presented on the video.

4.4 Abstraction The teacher will ask some questions to the students such as:
1. What have you learned from the topic/lesson? And then the teacher will
summarize the lesson.
2. Is there any questions or clarifications?
4.5 Application The class will do an activity entitled, “The Moves”. They will be divided into two groups.
Each group will choose a leader.
From the steps they’ve constructed, each group will perform their dances for at least 2
minutes and it is accompanied by their chosen music.
Criteria:
Originality – 50%
Performance – 25%
Proper Execution – 25%

4.6 Assessment The students will write a reflection about their experiences in constructing dance steps
down to performing them in front of their classmates.
4.7 Assignment The students will research and study about the Contemporary Dance
4.8 Concluding Activity The teacher will ask the students to perform again their dances in front before the class
ends.

5. REMARKS The lesson of the day is successfully carried out.


The teacher will proceed to the next lesson at the next meeting.
