Reflection No. 4

1. How is technology a mode of revealing?

- Technology is a technique of exposure that implies and exhibits more relevance, truth, and
meaning. Heidegger says that technology should be seen as a form of a revelation since it
exposes much more about the human being and the world. Technology is a means of
uncovering the truth that is utilized to accomplish objectives and make our lives simpler in
general. Because it is connected with the way we live, our behaviors, and our surroundings,
technology is a method of disclosure. In addition, it gives us access to whatever we want to
investigate when finding and seeking the meaning of truth.

2. In your daily experience of technology, what else is revealed to you aside from its
function?
- In my daily experience of technology, aside from its function, it is also revealed to me how
fast and how technology is developing more and more each day. There is no denying that
technology will continue to revolutionize our lives in the future. Technological development
has a hugely significant impact on our daily lives, economy, society, and culture; its growth
and people’s adaptation to this new technology have dramatically accelerated pace. The
rapid change in technology poses many challenges in our lives, and also technological
advances are now causing people to be distracted, overly stressed, and increasingly isolated
that transforming their attention of the people to a concerning and alarming state

3. Why should technology be questioned?

- Everything has its advantages and disadvantages in technology. We can't deny that
technology itself was one reason why a particular country is progressive. However, it should
 be questioned because humanity has a history of developing inventions for money, power,
and glory. We must challenge technology to set boundaries concerning our personal life.
Because when technology interacts with our privacy, details about each individual can be
used against us. Naturally, this will result in chaos.

4. How is questioning the piety of thought?

- Questioning acts as the piety of thought since we keep asking out of curiosity. In search of
the meaning of truth, we continue to seek and find. This is for us to consider since all we can
do in the modern period is foresee and explore continuously.

5. How does art provide a way out of enframing?

- Art offers a means of escape from enframing by bringing us closer to poiesis and farther from
technology. Art stimulates human sensitivity if it exists in a person. Poiesis involves the use of
imagination and perceiving things as they are. In its quest to prepare for the future, modern
technology, on the other hand, challenges everything; in other words, it destroys and disturbs
the natural environment. Now that technology is a part of our lives, it serves to frame them.
Indulging in the arts from time to time reacquaints us with our former reality, which is
becoming more forgotten in the present.
