How can you take Marlins Test Remotely?

Please visit www.marlinstests.com and take a Marlins English language test using the
instructions here. Your licence code 97497C0C0623ADB 1

You can use your code only once, and valid for 24hours only.

It is essential to know that you have to take the test using P.C. or
Laptop, and never use the Mobile device, as you may lose the test
due to network interruption.
1- Once you have received your Marlines License Code, please visit
https://www.marlinstests.com/
2- Enter your code in the 'have a licence code?' field and click "Take a test."
3- Make sure you enter the correct numbers and letters (using Caps lock in your computer
keyboards).
4- Please note that any "0" will always be the number ZERO and not the letter "O". There are
no spaces or dashes in the code.

5- Another page will appear to confirm your code number, then press "Take the Test."
6- When you press 'Take the test", it means that you have used your code.
7- Next page, you will enter your details in English as follows: -

Seaman book No. : your seaman book number.
If you don't have a seaman book, write your National Number (for Jordanian)
(for non-Jordanian write your passport number)

Test location: Your Current location/country you are in now.
Nationality: (your nationality).
Vessel Type: Enter your last ship/boat you worked in; choose another if you are a cadet.

9- If you have not taken a Marlins English language test before, you should click the 'Take a
practice test' button to familiarise yourself with the test first.

10- If you don't want to practice a test, you can press "Start your test."

11- When the test starts, all questions must be answered by you.

12- When you answer the question, press next to go the second question, and when you finish all the
questions, press FINISH, and your score will appear directly.

Notes to be taken into consideration: -

• The Test duration is 60 minutes (The timer will appear at the bottom of the
page).
• If you exceed the test time limit, there is no guarantee that the test will remain;
it will expire, and you will lose the test. Therefore, try to finish your exam before
the 60 minutes pass.
• The number of questions is 60 Questions. Each question needs one minute to
answer.
• If, for some reason, you leave the test without clicking the "Finish" button, or
if the internet connection is lost, the test can be resumed from where you
stopped. This is done by re-entering the licence code in the "Taking a test?"
box on the front page of the Marlins Test Platform.
• If the test is not finished after 24 hours, it will expire and cannot be used.
• You should be aware that this test was not taken at a Marlins Approved Test
Centre, meaning it was not carried out under inspected exam conditions. Flag
state authorities and some companies will not accept this certificate as proof
of language proficiency.
