Record a motor characteristic at constant torque.

 Plot a graph of motor current , Ia (A) vs motor voltage ,Va (V) and motor rotation speed (1/min) vs
motor voltage,Va (V) using Microsoft Excel as in Figure 3.
iii. Part C- Rotation Reversal
Initial rotation direction = Clockwise
New rotation direction (polarity of exciter coil (D1&D2)). = Anti-Clockwise

iv. Part D: Record load characteristics of the motor

ii. What is the efficiency %, of the series wound motor used with a nominal load ?

iii. Based on Figure 3, make your assessment regarding the motor characteristic at constant torque?

iv. How can the direction of motor rotation be changed?

v. Based on Figure 4, make your assessment regarding the load graph?

vi. Based on Figure 5, what is the maximum efficiency % approx. for the series wound
motor.?
