What I learned?
Devotion to one's own country and
concern for its defence
According to Webster’s, patriotism is
“love for and devotion to one’s
country.” But that simple definition is
woefully inadequate.
Patriotism inspires us. It unites us. It fills
our hearts with pride and optimism. And
sometimes it brings us to tears.
True citizenship is defined by
patriotism, or our love for our country.
Every citizen must then strive to
contribute to the good of the country
rather than pursuing personal gain at the
expense of the country. A true Filipino
makes sacrifices to maintain this country
free - not only from invasion, but also
from all types of social evils. Every time
we sing our national anthem,
we proclaim this. Loving our country
necessitates making sacrifices for its
betterment. It is possible to do so within
our means and influence. It is proactively
making a difference and bringing about
big change within our grasp.
Action Plan for the Week:
 Show patriotism by obeying
ordinances, rules and regulations,
and national laws.
 Continue to innovate in
whatever industry we are in so
that the Philippines can be proud
of what we have built or achieved.
 Continue to engage in
community service and empower
social welfare development.
Reflection:
As Filipino it is but proper to show
our deep love and care to country.
We should embrace our country's art,
culture and values
We should show our affection for our
homeland. Every Filipino citizen must
have it. It should be obvious to those who
get government protection and benefits.
As a result, it leads to an unwritten vow to
follow the Philippines' rules and
regulations, as well as the performance of
service as a labor of love.
In times of crisis, patriotism unites
us. We put our differences aside to help
our countrymen in need.

Prayer:

Lord, help show our love to our nation, teach us true patriotism, is to love and care for
the entire Philippines. Please forgive us for all of our "unpatriotic" acts. Make us the
godly patriots this country so desperately needs. Cause our hearts, minds, and bodies to
submit and honor You and our nation, especially our resources. Thank you for
providing godly leaders and faithful citizens for our country, the Philippines. Amen.
