B. Profile of the Program Course
i. Title of the Program:
Virtual Orientation on the Expansion of the Face-To-Face Classes for SY 2021-2022.
ii. Rationale:
The President has approved on September 20, 2021, the joint proposal of DepEd and
DOH for the conduct of pilot face-to-face classes in 100 public schools and 20 private schools,
or a total of 120 schools nationwide. Based on the joint memorandum circular signed by the
Secretaries of DepEd and DOH, schools that will be included in the Pilot phase must satisfy the
following conditions: located in minimal risk areas, secured LGU concurrence, passed the
School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT), and secured parent’s consent.
Consistent with DepEd Memo No. 071 s. 2021 (Preparation for the Pilot Face-To-Face
Expansion and Transitioning to New Normal), all schools shall conduct a self-assessment using
the Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) where Enclosure 1, in preparation for the expansion phase
and onward transitioning to new normal of face-to-face. The Schools Division Superintendent
shall facilitate the administration of the School Safety Assessment Tool in all schools in their
respective area of jurisdiction and determine the level of readiness based on the result of
SSAT. For schools with substantial gaps based on the result, the SDO shall aid address the
gaps and improve readiness.
This activity shall acquaint, orient, and enhance parents, teachers, and learners on the
tools to be used and the basis in preparation for the expansion of the limited face-to-face
classes.
With this activity, it will absolutely help schools, administrators, teachers, parents an
learners on the improvements and preparation of the limited face-to-face classes.

iii. Program or Course Description:


This is a 2-hour virtual orientation for parents, teachers and learners which will be
done on December 20, 2021, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm via Google Meet.

iv. Professional Development Priorities:


This activity seeks to address the need of the parents, administrators, teachers, and learners in
our division to be capacitated and be oriented to the things to consider and prepare for the
changes in the teaching-learning situation in this time of pandemic. This avenue shall also be
from Moving to Proficient Teacher going to Moving to Highly Proficient.

C. Program or course design
i. Objective/s or Outcome/s
This activity aims to: reorient the parents, teachers, and learners of the DepEd Memo
No. 071, s. 2021 on the Preparations for the Pilot Face-To-Face, Expansion and Transitioning
to New Normal SY 2021-2022; to enhance teachers’ and parents’ knowledge on how to utilize
the tools to assess the readiness and safety of schools for the conduct of the limited face-to-
face classes in the new normal.

v. Monitoring and Evaluation
A pre and post monitoring and evaluation of the said activity shall be facilitated through an
online evaluation link to be provided on/or prior to the conduct of the activity. A Pre and Post-
tests shall also be administered to all identified participants.
vi. Gender and Development Mainstreaming
(see attached HGDG Checklist)
vii. Minimum Health Standards
Wearing of facemask, face shield and social distancing shall be strictly observed all the time.
Presence of sanitation area, temperature check and accomplishment of logbook/attendance
tracker.
