I. ASSESSMENT
a. Best practice in the actual delivery of instruction under the distance learning
modality
As part of the school’s vision and mission to produce competent learners, Buenlag
Central School adapted and strengthen the new normal education focusing on the use of
blended learning as the modality for teaching. The school also give importance to
communication to make sure that connection of teacher, parents and learner exists to
monitor the activities and progress of the learners, and provide feedback, so, we provide
virtual orientation to the parents, learning facilitators and pupils.
The school also strictly follows scheduled day for collection and distribution of Self-
Learning Modules. In cases where parents missed getting the modules for the week,
teachers conduct home visits and bring them the modules providing that the area they are
visiting is low-risk, making way to meet and talk to parents for any concerns regarding their
child. If the child has strong internet connection, the teacher shall provide them digital copy
of the lesson, this way we will lessen person-to-person contact.
Teachers need to be creative and flexible in assessing student learning, while still
adhering to the principles of quality assessment practice. With safety, health, and well-being
foremost in mind, assessment decisions must be made in the best interest of all learners,
ensuring that all assessment activities:
a. align with the most essential learning competencies;
b. are reliable, valid and transparent;
c. are fair, inclusive and equitable;
d. are practical and manageable for both learners and teachers;
e. give learners a range of ways to demonstrate their learning; and
f. provide timely and accurate information as basis for feedback.
conducted?
h. How can technology help?
b. Performance tasks refer to assessment tasks that “allow learners to show what they know
and are able to do in diverse ways. They may create or innovate products or do
performance-based tasks [including] skill demonstrations, group presentations, oral work,
multimedia presentations, and research projects. It is important to note that written outputs
may also be considered as performance tasks” (DepEd, 2015, pp. 7–8).
a. Each task must be accompanied with clear directions and appropriate scoring tools
(i.e. checklists, rubrics, rating scale, etc.) to help learners demonstrate their learning.
b. Teachers are advised to collaboratively design and implement performance tasks
that integrate two or more competencies within or across subject areas. Complex
tasks may be broken down into shorter tasks to be completed over longer periods of
time (see Annex D for sample integrative assessment tasks).
Communicating the assessment task. In communicating the assessment task, teachers must ensure
that the following details are explained:
a. Objectives of the assessment task
b. Roles of learners and parents/guardians
c. Procedure and expected timeline
d. Standards and rubrics The teacher must consult the learners and, when necessary,
parents/guardians, to allow room for adjustments/flexibilities needed, if any.
other stakeholders to ask support by donating printing equipment and printing materials for
the reproduction of modules.
The school is looking forward for delivering the quality education despite of the
challenges brought by the new normal. Through modular mode of learning, it is believed that
everyone will have access and will receive needed / enough modules from their teacher
adviser. Through the help/support of NGOs, stakeholders and GPTA officers, the said
number of modules will be distributed proportionately. Worksheets and other needed LM
plus the modules will be distributed as necessary. Through social media like messengers
and fb, every teacher can follow up the pupils’ progress of learning independently
2. PLANS
a. Enrolment Procedure
The enrolment guidelines are used by Buenlag Central School to aid parents,
guardians, school heads, and staff in enrolling learners. Parents must convey their plan to
enroll their children in kindergarten using digital or physical enrolment platforms for incoming
kindergarten students.
The previous advisers will contact parents of incoming Grade 1-6 learners for remote
enrolling. Parents can also contact their child's adviser for enrolment through the school's
contact information.

To support successful and productive learning, Buenlag Central School will use a variety of
instructional strategies.
Indirect instruction where learners need facilitator and supporter. It includes learner
involvement because it is learner-driven. And, as a result of the new normal
education, teachers will assist parents, who will be the facilitators at home, in how to
handle their children.
Experiential Learning is when students are asked to reflect on their experiences and
how they can use what they've learned. Even if we don't have access to face-to-face
learning, we can still use games and role-playing to implement this technique. Virtual
monitoring is possible.
Independent study, where learners study on their own under the guidance and
supervision of the learning facilitator.
Instructional supervision will be done through class observation via online class
because majority in the school uses Online Distance Learning as the modality. Post-
conference shall be conducted after the observation to address the need for improvement or
enhancement of teaching strategies.

Utilizing the Learning Delivery Modality Implementation Plan tackling the learning
resources, we will improve the availability of learning resources/materials and ensure that all
learners will receive their learning materials and will be collected for assessment.
Allocation for the procurement of printing materials from the MOOE Fund will still be
given priority.

All teachers had been trained both in implementing MDL-Print and MDL-Digital. The
school achieved readiness in teacher training, learners' welfare, and stakeholders'
engagement which supports quality delivery of education to our learners.
Faculty meeting serves as one way to improve the school by enhancing teaching and
learning and also building a collaborative culture.

parents and learners on the schedule of distribution. They are advised to get the SLMS on
the scheduled date so as not to come in a flock and to follow social distancing while in
school. Learners under MDL-Print are given individual SLMs and learners under MDL-Digital
download the SLMs sent to them using their account or google forms.

to lessen the day parents will come to school. So parents will just come to school once a
week.
d. Readiness of personnel
d.1. Sufficiency of teaching personnel in school
Buenlag Central School has 33 teachers which makes the ratio of 1:30. The school
then will have 28 advisers for the 29 classes, with 4 relieving teacher.

Collaborate with the community and stakeholders for school/learner support and
especially for everyone's safety. Map communication and information chains. Identify risks
and prevention measures in collaboration with the community. Have a contact list related to
relevant government authorities and keep up-to-date information with them.
The school started the provision of internet connection in every classroom which helps
teachers in conducting virtual classes, kumustahan with the learners, and meetings with the
teachers/parents. However, some desktops used by the teachers are already old which
sometimes makes the speed slow, so we seek help and support from the stakeholders who
could replace the units.
