STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I, Aashu, born on 21-August-2002 S/o Mr. Vijay & Mrs. Ruby, have my abode in Panipat (Haryana) with Address –
House No.56, Village Dumiyana, PIN: 132113, Haryana, India. I possess a passport with its number U9333183. I
would like to share with you my desire of study in Australia. I have chosen Bachelor of Business from Alphacrucis
College. My application is financially being supported by my family.

Academic Profile

I have done my Grade 10 from Rishikul Senior Secondary School, Kurana, Panipat under CBSE in the year 2018 with
71.5%. Thereafter, I completed my Grade 12 from Rishikul Senior Secondary School, Kurana, Panipat under CBSE in
the year 2020 by securing 72.3% marks. I choose arts stream in Grade 12 and my majors were English, History and
Mathematics. I am very sincere towards my studies, however, unfortunately during my Mathematics exam; I
suffered from high fever and consequently, got low grades. Post-completion of my senior secondary education, I did
a Certificate Course in Digital Marketing from August 2020 to February, 2021 with 79.5% from Computer Point
Institute of Technology & Management. During this course, I studied subjects like Business Organization, Digital
Marketing and Business Communication, all of which gave me the detailed knowledge about the sales and
marketing in business sector and has provided a solid foundation for my future endeavours.

Employment Profile

After completing my diploma, I started working in Hygenic Feeds and Farm Pvt. Ltd. Panipat as an executive in
sales. My experience with this firm confirmed my interest in the business management industry but my irrelevant
educational background is creating a hindrance in my future career growth prospects. Due to this, I have planned to
pursue a program which can provide me specialized knowledge in the domain of business management from an
international university because that will enhance my profile and assist me in growing my career as a Senior
Manager.

I knew that my career growth would become stagnant after sometime, so I choose to study further in Business. I had
attended many online-educational seminars, discussion with family and close friends and then I concluded to study
further in Business from abroad (Australia). This decision was not spontaneous rather rational and calculated one. I
did a lot of brainstorming while researching to look for the best career option as by choosing to study Bachelor of
Business would help me to equip myself with the latest and most efficient skills and advancements.

At that time mostly all the countries had closed their borders for international students and also it was not safe to
travel anywhere. I had no other option but to wait till things get settled and Australia relaxes its travel policy. But I
did not want to sit idle and kill my time. I made my mind stronger of studying business course from abroad and
learning modern ways of doing business and helping them after coming back to India in their Business with the new
Ideas and Technologies to grow their business to higher levels.

I also came to aware about English Language Ability test to get enrol in International Institutions. So, I commenced
preparation for PTE examination, which is really mandatory to go abroad and finally, I appeared for my PTE on 11th
March 2021 and scored overall 66 (Listening - 60, Reading - 74, Speaking - 77, Writing - 62). Luckily till December
2021, Australia had also opened its border for international students as this was the crucial decision of my life so it
took me nearly approximately 6-7 months to complete my research. After thorough research I finalised Alphacrucis
College for Bachelor of Business.

So, after completing all of the eligibility conditions and having fully vaccinated, I am ready to lodge my student visa
application for Australia.

Immigration History:

I don’t have any immigration history.

Why not India?

It is a well-known fact that institution plays a crucial role in learning. I began my research by exploring the best
institutions in India such as Punjab University, Delhi University, RPIITM, etc.

In India, the number of finest colleges is less and the admission process of these institutes is extremely tough due to
difficult levels of entrance examinations. The competition in India is also more due to reservation system. Moreover,
there is more emphasis on clearing the exams than the actual understanding of topic.

By getting qualifications from Indian universities, I wouldn’t be able to get that international exposure. In order to
attain the complete information about the Business, it is very essential to have our practical hands on the theoretical
concepts. Even after getting admission in those universities, I will not be able to get the quality of knowledge and
experience which I can get by studying in any of international University.
The education system of India follows the same pattern as is being followed from several years. Students strive for
jobs even after the completion of degree as they follow traditional learning without any industrial exposure. Also, I
got to know that Australian degrees are highly sought after in my home country and it will provide me international
and industrial exposure, both of which will enhance my overall understanding of business and management sector.
Considering all these reasons, I decided to study abroad.

That’s why, I decided to go abroad for further studies.

Why to choose Australia over other Countries as my ‘Study Destination’?

Australia is the currently third most popular destination for international students in the English-speaking world. The
Australian Universities are ranked on World scale and its degrees are acceptable all over the world for jobs. The
courses are designed according to the need of industry & are updated regularly to keep it relevant to times. In
Australia multiple intakes available throughout the year offer a better scope for starting the course whereas there is
a single intake in India. Australia is the only country to have ESOS Act as a legal tool for monitoring the colleges &
universities and protect the legal rights of international students.

The tuition fees costs and living costs are pocket friendly. Australia has Tuition Protection Services (TPS) act that
protects the tuition fee paid by students in case enrolled institution fails to fulfil full course.

The climate is very similar to that of India and hence, offers an easy adaptation to a new place.

With over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions, Australian Education system is ranked 8th in the Universities
2019 U21 ranking system.

Moreover, Australian courses are constantly updated with input from industry leaders to ensure student skills and
knowledge are current, strengthening student ability to compete for jobs.

Also, I am very impressed about how Australian government dealt with covid pandemic and put it under control
while rest of world was in chaos. Due to this reason, I feel much safer to choose Australia as study destination than
other countries.

Australia is advance in technology and it has many top ranked universities in the world which makes Australian
education system strong.

I have also researched about other English-speaking countries like USA, UK, and Canada. But I decided not to
prefer them because of few reasons. In current times, USA, U.K, Canada and Australia are the top destinations for
students who want to pursue their higher studies from abroad. By comparing these countries, Australia made the
cut at the end because of it being among the world’s best study destination. I also weighed on other countries like
USA, U.K, Canada and Europe was very expensive.
Talking about other European countries like Germany or France, there is a language problem for international
students. Hence, after considering all of the options in Indian and Western countries’ educational Institutes, I choose
Australia as my study destination, which suits my profile, and would be blessed to get opportunity to continue my
education in Australia.

Why Alphacrucis College (AC)?

Sydney is the capital city of the state of New South Wales. I will pursue Bachelor of Business from Sydney.
Swinburne ‘s Sydney campus, is located in Parramatta. There's a vibrant arts and culture scene, which includes the
annual Sydney Festival, Winterlight, and Parramasala. University premises is based in one of Australia's first suburbs
home, which boasts the sixth largest central business district in Australia. Moreover, Parramatta campus houses
experienced lecturers, an experienced leadership and student services team, Course and Careers Advisers and
student counsellors, who are all on hand to guide students through their studies, personal development and career
direction.
Most Importantly, Sydney offers a range of quality purpose-built student accommodation. This information was
enough to convince me that it is a right place where I can grow better as an individual during my studies. However, I

Why Bachelor of Business?

I was inspired to pursue a career in Business by holding the top management positions from a young age. After
school, I often read books and as a child, I began to absorb many ideas and concepts related to business and
management. It was clear even at that young age that I would be the CEO of Multinational Company and made my
contribution in the improvement of the society and not just earning big cash. The professional management skills
that I learn in Alphacrucis College will allow me to achieve this goal.
Bachelor of Business program is a rigorous and broad-based three-year degree programme that will help me gain a
global perspective and critical and analytical skills. This business degree program is widely known for its professional
orientation and innovative curriculum. Guided by a pragmatic, real-world focus, the program offers cutting-edge and
industry-relevant specialisations (Accounting, and Leadership and Management) that are continuously updated.

Furthermore, a strong foundation in business course is required to study the big issues affecting all businesses
globally, such as Management, Leadership and Decision-Making skills which I will gain expertise on once I will study
modules like Foundations of Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Financial Decision Making, Strategic
Management, Advanced Leadership and Decision Making, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, and finally Advanced
Professional Practice in Business. All these modules are necessary and mandatory for applicants who are looking

I am motivated to study bachelor’s program of business to gain awareness of the ever-changing reality of the
business environment and the need to upgrade my own expertise and professional abilities. The degree is designed
to provide the opportunity to specialize in various business functions and modules.

So, these are the only reasons I decided to familiarise myself with the skills that are required in the business
environment and the impact these skills can have on everyone’s lives and on society.

Future Prospects:

In today’s world, corporate business careers are available in pretty much every sector one can think of; all
industries need strong leaders, managers, financial advisors and market-savvy decision-makers. Be it banking
sector, financial sector, marketing companies, stock exchanges, or BPOs, every industry has some or the other
vacant position for the business studies professionals.

After getting education with foreign exposure and qualification the opportunities of fulfilling my dream in India will
be achieved soon. I will graduate with practical skills, a global perspective and a detailed understanding of complex
business environments and how they affect each other. It provides knowledge that includes business economics,
business law, financial management, financial planning, international business, macroeconomics, marketing and
sustainable resource management to give the extensive training to succeed in the industry. Although I expect the
classes to be challenging, I believe that my hard-working nature and love of learning will serve me well in my
studies.

I am confident that I will have a number of opportunities to work as Business Manager, Business Analyst, Strategic
Planner, Sales Manager, Financial Analyst, and Business Consultant in local, national and international companies;
however, I am interested in holding the position of a Business Manger as this role covers wide spectrum of
business.

I hope that my business studies in Australia will provide me the skills and experience which I need to achieve my
long-term career goal to become a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Salary is one of the key aspects when it comes to choose a career path. As far as business studies as a career choice
is concerned, this field offers decent salary prospects to the aspirants. An average salary of 7 to 10 lakhs per annum
is offered to the fresher who has completed his/her graduation course for the position of a Business Manager. The
growth and promotion in terms of salary is decent and one can expect to reach a position of Chief Executive officer
and to earn up to 50 lakhs per annum after gaining 10-15 years of experience in the industry. However, business
degree itself does not automatically mean a high salary. But graduating from a highly reputed university from abroad
with strong grades is certainly likely to open up some interesting opportunities and perhaps a large salary. One still
needs to prove themselves, and be ready to work hard, if they want to reach their career and salary goals.

Future Business Growth expectations and predictions: According to some official sources, it has been ensured that
there will be great business opportunities in all sectors in India in coming years. Many MNC’s are planning to set up
their companies in India due to its high growth rate. This surely clears; there will be abundance of jobs for my job
profile. Not only this, India’s made in India policy has given lot of people an opportunity to be an entrepreneur and
rise in the world.

Financial Sponsors:

My parents are going to sponsor my further studies in Australia. My grandfather, Mr. Chanderbhan, is a resident of
India. He is the owner of 9 acres of land. He runs his own business of dairy farm and Agriculture and his annual
income is around INR 9,00,000/-. He has a fix deposit of 10.5 lakh in HDFC bank. My father Mr. Vijay is a salaried
person in Vinsum Axpress India Pvt. Ltd. He is getting 499056 INR per annum. He is also running an FD 6.75 lakh in
HDFC bank. Also, my mother, Ruby, is a resident of India. She is getting 496245 INR per annum. She is also a salaried
woman and her fix deposit is about INR 5.65 lakh. She is working in SS Supply Chain Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Therefore, the
total fixed deposit of my family is around 22.90 lakh.
Apart from this, I have already fee and OSHC which is AUD 9880.
With this liquid money in hand, I expect that I have sufficient balance to support my studies and living expenses.
Hence, I suppose I meet the financial requirements.

Incentives after returning to India:

Ties to my family: I will definitely return to my home country as I have been brought up here and I have a lot of
bonds in my nation with my friends and family. I am emotionally attached to my country and my parents. I love my
family a lot because they have raised me strong enough to deal with any kind of situation. I never wanted to leave
them and the decision of going abroad is the toughest decision they have ever made but considering my future on
the top, they decided to send me abroad for my higher studies.

Financial Stability: I don’t have any plans to stay back in Australia after finishing my studies. My family has ancestral
residential, immovable and agricultural properties in India which makes me more financially independent and stable
too. Being a legal heir of my family, I am also responsible to take care of all the assets of my family. Thus, I am more
financially stable here. Hence, leaving this Country permanently is definitely not a practical decision and about which
I can never even think of in my dreams too.
Ties to my country:
I have decided to return to my own home country and use all the knowledge that I have gained to flourish the
agriculture and farming sector in India as a skilled professional. I will Introduce the new methodologies and
techniques used at an international market. They mean the world to me and I want to share my every success with
them and celebrate it together. That I might not be able to do if I work internationally as everyone can’t be a part of
it. Beside the above my family has good amount of assets in shape of residential house & agriculture land worth of
Rs. 5.3 crore and the value of these assets would have increase drastically by the time, which is another attraction
for me to comeback.

According to The World Bank, India’s GDP growth rate will return to 7.5% in two years’ time, to sustain an 8% GDP
growth rate. Indian economy is growing really well under the current government and it has become the fastest
growing major world economy. Average salary hikes in India were among the highest in the world, at 10%,
compared with other developed markets (Japan 2%, US 3% and UK 2.9%) and emerging markets (China 7%). The
overall job landscape in the country is evolving rapidly.
This means the employment opportunity after I graduate from the course, I am taking is equally good in India when
compared to the abroad. With the projected GDP and employment growth for India, there will be an abundance of
jobs and career opportunities when I return upon completion of my studies.
So, there is no valid reason for me to stay in Australia, but have all the reasons to return to India.

Accommodation Arrangements:

There are varieties of accommodation options available in Australia. I searched about it on the Internet, especially in
Adelaide where my Institute is located.

I also compared the advantages of various types of accommodations. Firstly, I searched for on campus college
accommodation. They usually consisted of up to six rooms per unit with a communal living room and kitchen. It
includes some cleaning services, and meals. However, I am a person who does not like to be in the group. Thus, I did
not choose this as my accommodation. It costs about $90 to $280 per week.

Secondly, I searched for shared accommodation. In this accommodation, a room is shared among two or three
students only. Also, students have to pay less and they develop strong friendships which could help them in need
residing in different countries altogether. It costs around $450 to $600 a month.
Thirdly, I looked for Home stay. It is a great opportunity for a student to learn conversational English and experience
first-hand friendly Australian lifestyle and culture. It costs around $235 to $325 per week.

Lastly, I searched for a rental property. But, it is quite expensive .It costs around $165 to $444 per week.

I have checked the websites like www.realestate.com.au, www.flatmates.com.au and www.realestateview.com.au

where I can get rooms or apartments which are more affordable for the students.

Considering all the options, I finally decided to live in the shared accommodation near the Institute which will help
me to save money for my travel expenses and it will also help me to be in college on time.
