After scoring a useless rank in JEE-Advanced, which was certainly my fault as I killed

During my 2nd year, we have Innovation lab where you have to make a mini project. So,
we decided to go for a research project with physical implication. Somehow, we were

added an IOT project to complement the original one. We secured second highest
grade which obviously could have been worst.

play in addressing it? (100 Words)
One of the most important issue that concern me is the lack of awareness about options
after matriculation specially in rural areas which leads to unemployment or menial jobs. I
have participated in CSR campaign on behalf of my previous organization in rural
Punjab. I have work experience in a refinery, so people in the nearby villages aspires to
work in refinery even as daily wage manpower, driver etc. after their 10 th standard. Our
aim was to promote stem education as well as tell them about other career options after
10th. I have visited two schools as part of this campaign and had very interacting
session with the students of 9th and 10th standards.
Question 8: Tell us about a recent time when you went beyond what was expected out
of you to achieve an objective and make it happen.
In my institute, the highest compensation is given by PSU’s. They have very high
interview eligibility cutoff generally above 8.3+ CGPA. I was a very mediocre student
having 7.5 till my 4th sem. After the placement of my first batch I noticed that what will
be the use of studying in this institute If I am not even eligible to sit for important
organizations. Until now I have scored C’s in all the computer based courses which
requires a little coding. In my 6th sem, we had Computer Aided Process Engineering in

CGPA of 8.26.

you overcome them as a team? (150 Words)
This is the only time I have faced any difficulty in my workplace. I was given the task of
Leak Check and Inertization of PGHU Reactor 1. The whole process was completed in
merely 6 hours with a pressure drop of 0.1kg/day. The first challenge was there were
only 4 people in my team including me. We started with the leak check and found that
main header was leaking. Two person started fixing the leak which was from 24” pipe.
Rest of us were still looking for leak. The leak was fixed and no other significant leaks
were found. Next we have to pressurize with Nitrogen and exactly four persons were
needed to do the part. I handled the vent and lined up nitrogen, 2 people climbed up to
see the pressure gauge on top and one on the other vent. The work was completed
before time even with shortage of manpower. I operated the Nitrogen vent valve and I
was dead scared but it was easier than climbing monkey ladder.
Question 10: Describe a situation where you had to persuade others to achieve a goal
after overcoming resistance. How did you go about doing it? (100 Words)
In my 6th semester, college’s football team was going to participate in AAVHAN, IIT
Bombay’s annual sports meet. After all the documentation was completed, we went to
registrar for getting the amount sanctioned. The contingent was of 37 people including
cricket team also. Registrar refused to sanction the amount citing that he cannot allow
37 people to miss their classes for 3 days. What we did was we took written statements
from 37 members that they are ready to miss the classes and will attend compensatory
classes if conducted. Also we asked a professor to visit with us. We also took director’s
permission which was extremely difficult as he didn’t want to listen to our reasoning.
Finally, we were all ready to go but the fest was cancelled due to covid.
