TOURIST

Any person visiting a

that in which he/she
usually resides, for a
period of at least 24
hrs.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Tourism Characteristics Industry
- a group of establishment whose
principle productive activity in a tourism
characteristic activity.
Tourism Characteristics Activity
- those productive activities whose
principal output is characteristic of
tourism.
TOURISM SYSTEM
Traveler Generating Regions (TGRs)
- are the places where trips begin.
Transit Routes (TRs)
- intermediate zone where the principal travel
activity of tourism occurs.
Tourist Destination regions (TDRs)
- places where a person chooses to stay a while
in order to experience some feature or
characteristics.
Environments: Human, socio-cultural economical,
technological, physical, legal, etc.
