Interview them about their beautiful love story, their wedding preparation, their first five years as a
couple, their ups and downs when children came, their secret as a couple why they choose to stay,
and their secret of having a strong relationship until now. You will only submit a transcription of
your interview and not a video presentation.
A. How and when did you meet?
We met when we were in college, he was a year older than me and he was my tutor,
then one time he asked me to go out with him and I said yes, and that was the start of that.
B. How long are you two married? (gaano katagal na kayong kasal)
23 years this august
C. When did you decide that you want to marry each other?
We agreed that we would marry each other if we were both ready and financially stable.
D. How were the first 5 years of marriage? Were there any ups and downs?
The first few years were what I call the getting to know each other phase, getting to
know the little quirks of your spouse that you cannot see when you are just boyfriend and
girlfriend; were there any ups and downs, I’d say every marriage encounters ups and downs,
arguments here and there but if you don’t let those arguments last and you settle that within
that day, I’d say it’s pretty manageable.
E. When did you decide you want to have kids? Did anything change in the relationship after
having kids?
We agreed that we will start a family almost after marriage but it took us 2 years of
infertility before we were blessed with a daughter; did anything change, not really, no, I mean I
had to give up my career to take care of the children which I do not regret and he has to be the
breadwinner but that was the compromise that we agreed into.
F. What is/are the secret/s to having a long-lasting relationship for you?
It really is not much of a secret really, and that is putting God above everything, putting
him in the center of your relationship and also communication; learning to communicate with
each other is key; not letting arguments and fights last the entire day; try to resolve them as
quickly as possible and the last is learn to compromise with each other.

5. After the interview, what lessons in life did you get from them?
The lessons I got from the interview are that learn to communicate with one another; do not
let fights last an entire day, and last is put God at the center of every relationship, and the last lesson
I have learned is to learn to compromise when need to.
6. How are you going to live out those lessons in life?
By putting Him in every decision I make and also i8f I ever get into a relationship is that I
should put the secrets that my mom has told me into action and that is communication and
compromise when needed.
7. Compose a prayer for the family and pray for the couple you have interviewed.
I pray for all families to be happy and safe. I pray that no children will ever have the
experience of the hardships of longing for a family. I pray for my parents to be long-lasting and that
they may have a happy life together and that we should never be broken ever. In Jesus name. Amen.
