TYPE OF DRILL/ TRAINING ELEMENTS INVOLVED

RESCUE BOAT LAUNCHING AND MANUWERING INTO THE WATER.

1600 - 1630 General alarm sounded. Announced through Public System RESCUE BOAT
LAUNCHING INTO THE WATER. The drill included mustering at the muster station with life
jackets and immersion suites Checking of the duty knowledge of all crew when it comes to
the launching of the rescue boat. Designated crew unlashing rescue boat ,checking the
engine fuel and starting the engine (ahead/astern). Rescue boat ready to lowering, rescue
team ready, VHF communication checked. The Bosun launched rescue boat into the water
with 4 crew members – (3/Off, 3Eng, M/M, A/B) on board using the crane. The securing of
the forward and aft painter to the strongest point and slacking accordingly as the rescue boat
is being launched. Rescue boat was lowered down. Hook was disconnected and painters
released, start engine and maneuvering into the water. Rescue boat brought back in position
and secure, is ready for immediately use. All her equipment found in good order and
operational. Drill completed.
