Project Name: Multi-purpose vehicles

Project Description:

Tagbao is a barangay in the city of Cebu City, Central Visayas (Region VII), Philippines. The latest
population is 1744 (2020 Census figures). I have been to Barangay Tagbao many times already and I have
witnessed the life of people living there. It takes an hour to get there.

People in Barangay Tagbao have limited access to fish and meat because it is a mountain barangay. To
acquire fish and meat, a private vehicle must leave very early to Pasil and Carbon. Thus, barangay
provision of multi-purpose vehicles for Tagbao residents will substantially assist them in their daily life.
Fish and meat would considerably be easier to buy, and the cost might be lower. This will greatly help
market vendors with their business and improve the economic trade and market. This fundamentally
boost the businesses in the barangay because it encourages people to work in the market or to start a
business, resulting in increased revenue.

It not only aids in the sale of goods, but also in the transportation of students to and from school, which
takes a long time. The closest school from where we usually do bible study and follow-ups is the Taptap
school which takes approximately 20 minutes to get there. Having a vehicle that could transport
students to school is a good idea as this is to ensure that students get in their classes and to keep them
safe.

Resources needed

1. Money

2. Driver

3. Maintenance

Table 1 shows the resources needed for the project.

This project obviously needs money. I'm pretty sure the barangay has funds but perhaps insufficient.
This is when partnership is most useful. Partnership helps in making connections with people who has
resources to make the project happen. If, by ny means, the barangay can't contact any partners, it can
request the city government to fund this project. A second hand vehicle would also work in this case just
to address this struggle among the people.

Second and third resources are relatively easy to address as there are people who knows how to drive.
Maintenance is not that costly so it can be addressed right away.
Steps in Achieving this Community Project

1. Inform and educate the locals about the project.

2. Forge partnership with different people.
3. Form a group that will be responsible in preparing the documents necessary.
4. Prepare a project work plan format and budget format.
5. When the vehicle/s is/are bought, appoint a set of drivers and maintenance team.
