I. Title of the Project

▰ This project is entitled “NOVA: New Opportunities, Visible to


Anyone”. It will help to those individual to get an opportunity to
earn money as their income for their everyday lives and to those
people who want to build and manage their own business.

▰ Located at Barangay Gulod, Laurel, Batangas.

III. Duration and Time of Implementation

▰ Started on February 17, 2021 until April 21,


2021 every Wednesday at 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

▰ This project is under of the Capability building


training which aims to give the beneficiaries an
understanding and expand their knowledge in
terms of business.

VIII. Beneficiaries

▰ Primary beneficiaries:
Fisherman and Unemployed People ages 18 to
35 years old in Barangay Gulod, Laurel, Batangas.

IX. Rationale of the Project
The proponents came up to this community project for them to know how to start
a business and help them to gain profit. This proposed project will introduce different
activities about business and it helps to give them ideas. Having a business helps to
manage their time in the way they want. They can produce goods and services that they
want. So, the proponents decide that they will implement this project in the Barangay
Gulod, Laurel, Batangas because many people in this place have no permanent job. This
project should be conducted to the community because through this project proposal,
they will learn something new and they can get new opportunities to have a job and get
an income for their everyday lives. They will see new ways of earning money to help
their family. This project proposal help them to be a successful businessman/woman.
By this activities, they will be train and learn too, so that they will not bored at home at
and earning a money at the same time. This will benefit to the people of our chosen
location and also for ourselves because it will serve as our training as a future
marketing or businessman/woman.

X. Objectives

General:
▰ To enhance and enrich the community in order to provide
additional information about the business world.
▰ To decrease the poverty levels as more people move to
became entrepreneurs.
▰ To encourage people in the society to be productive all the
time especially in terms of earning a money for their everyday
lives.
▰ To reduce the number of jobless or unemployed people in the
community.

X. Objectives

Specific:
▰ To help the participants to expand their knowledge about business.
▰ To guide participants to manage and start a business.
▰ To teach them be innovative to make another product from existing
or available source of product on the chosen location.
▰ To inspire them to have dedication in pursuing a business.
▰ To make the participants be competitive and enhance their
communication skills that help them be more confident.

XI. Description of the Project

▰ The project entitled NOVA: New Opportunities, Visible to Anyone is a program created
by first year college students in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in
Marketing Management. It aims to help the target community to get ideas and have a
knowledge in terms of business if they planning to create their own. Each activity on this
project contains full of information that they need to know to develop their skills about the
proper business management within the ten weeks of its implementation to the Barangay
Gulod, Laurel, Batangas. The beneficiaries of this project are the fishermen and those
unemployed people between the ages 18-35 years old. The activities that will be conducted
during the ten weeks are the discussion about the different marketing strategies, teaching
and making different food products from the food they thought that was no longer to eat and
also from the main products of their town, making DIY products to sell, teach them about
online selling and be a prepaid load retailer. The safety of everyone will always be ensured
in this project. The proponents believe that this project will bring a good result to the
community that push them to reach their goal and helps them to meet their stated objectives. 14
XII. Strategies and Method of Implementation

Before the program


▰ Visualizing the proposed project and know who will be the target participants and
its location to know the exact venue of the program.
▰ Communicate to the Barangay Officials and to all Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) to
cooperate with us for the implementation of the project.
▰ Estimating the possible cost that will cover to all expenses needed to finish the
program.
▰ Preparing snacks that will be distribute to the beneficiaries for the event and also
packaging some giveaways (one kilo of rice and three cans of sardines) for our
consideration to the beneficiaries who will attend on the event.
▰ Printing evaluation papers and certificates for the participants of the event.
▰ Making the flow of the program. 15
XII. Strategies and Method of Implementation

During the program


▰ Assembly and preparations on the place where the program will be conducted.
▰ All proponents are required to assist the participants whenever they have
concerns.
▰ Distribution of snacks for the participants of the event.
▰ Distribution of certificates of the specific topic each week.
▰ Documenting of a program.
After the program
▰ Distribution of evaluation papers to the participants in order for us to know if they
have learned and enjoyed on the event.
▰ Clean-up the place where the event was implemented.
▰ Short meeting of all proponents about the improvement needs of the 16

XV. Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanics
of the Project

▰ The program will observe by the CWTS instructor Ms. Larah


Camille S. Adao.
▰ Attendance for the participants who are attending a program.
▰ Giving of certificates to the participants for their active participation.
▰ Participants will also make the product together with the proponents.
▰ Distribution of evaluation paper to the participants to get their
feedback about the event every week.
▰ All Proponents always having a short meeting after the event day.

XVI. Plans to Ensure the Sustainability

▰ Participants may not really understand our discussions that can cause of losing
an interest to attend on the program for the following week that’s why the
proponents will also let the participants to make an actual product with them to
encourage the participants to attend and understand more each topic every
week.
▰ When the proponents and beneficiaries are not able to attend because of
unexpected natural calamity, the program will move on the other day when
everyone is available to continue the postponed activities.
▰ The proponents will always be active on the advisory of the Batelec that
covered on the area of the events about the possible power interruption on the
day when the proponents will need to use projectors or any devices for their
discussions so that they can swap the activities that will not use electricity
before the day of the event. 20
XVI. Plans to Ensure the Sustainability

▰ The proponents also control the budgeting of their funds whenever they
conducted the program to avoid the possible shortage for the expenses.
▰ When the required time of implementation has been completed, Barangay
officials and SK officers will adopt this program to continue to teach the idea
of business to the people on their barangay especially to those who have no
job.
▰ The idea and information about businesses learned by the beneficiaries that
they can use to start a business will serve as a foundation of the project to
ensure its sustainability.
