Dear _____________________,
Shalom!
Once again, thank you for choosing SCWA as your partner for your child’s
education for SY 2021-2022.
It had been another tough school year for many students. All stakeholders,
especially the teachers and the parents, exerted their best efforts to make sure that
learning continues for our learners despite the challenges.
However, for some students, some competencies in some learning areas still
need to be mastered for a longer time before they can be prepared to move on to the
next grade level and obtain a final passing rate. For this reason, your child
_______________ of Grade ___ will need to take an extended quarter in the following
learning areas:
The 10-day intensive session for this extended quarter will run from June 27 to
July 8, 2022 both via Schoology and face-to-face classes. Your child will meet with the
subject teacher for an accumulated 10 hours per subject as a minimum. Your child will
need a stable connectivity during online classes since all these sessions will be live, and
he/she will also need to be present in school during face-to-face sessions. You will
need to enroll your child for this extended quarter either online or on-site at the
school’s Business Office on or before June 24 to secure an admission pass for this
extended quarter classes.
Once enrolled, another communication will be sent to you containing further
instructions for your child and the specific time schedule and modality for each learning
area.
Thank you very much for your time and attention.
Respectfully yours,
Teresita C. Bagarinao
Vice Principal for Upper School

2. Identify the top competencies (not limited to 4th Q competencies) that these students need to learn
/ re-learn during the intensive 10-day small-class sessions. Then, make a 10-day schedule using

3. During the first session on June 27, please spend the first 5 to 10 minutes, setting the right tone
and mindset, and telling them of what to expect in the next 10 days. Please be firm and
encouraging at the same time.
4. Though the teacher’s input/lectures will still be necessary especially when refreshing the students
about the lessons, sessions should be more process and output-based. Chunk down the expected
output. If, for example, the expected output is expected to be produced in two days, please make
sure that the students know what should be accomplished in Day 1.
5. It is important that throughout the entire session, the students know that their progress in
producing the expected output is being monitored. Please make sure that both the students’ and
the teacher’s camera is always turned on (except for excusable moments).
6. The students will have a different 4th grading sheet since theirs will include the quizzes and
performance tasks done during this extended period. No need to repeat the QT; just add tasks
and/or written works. Please check their outputs right away and give immediate feedback so
they’ll know their progress as they work towards the needed scores that they need to obtain.
7. By July 11, 2022 at 3:00PM, please submit their final 4th Quarter grade to Ms. Tesa.
