Value of the Year: “Community”

Focus on the school value and think about different ways how, when and where you can apply it.

2. Augustinian Value for the Academic Year 2021/ 2022.

The Educational Plan of the Order presents the Augustinian values that we want to be present in
our educational centers, focusing each year on one of them. Inconsonance with the motto of this
academic year, the value that we will promoteduring this year will be that of Community. St.
Augustine recalls:"Charity [...] is understood in this way: that it puts the common things before
one's own and not one's own things before the commonthings" (Rule of St. Augustine, 5, 30).
Faced with the challenge of egotistic and competitive individualism, community is the experience
of an attitude opposed to selfishness, self-indulgence and the understanding of leadership as
power. It is expressed through communication, the communion of goods, the acceptance of
differences and the elaboration of common plans for the future.

Objetive: Discover that we all are called to be builders of the Kingdom of heaven on earth. That
our good deeds lead us to be able to build a community of love, which is the most important

My collage represents the love and kindness we can find all over
the world, it is based on Jn 13, 34-35. There is some pictures
that show how we can help each other even if it is in our
classroom or in our own house.
At the other side of my collage I added some names of the
closest people I’ve met whom I can help.
