About the ac vity:
The School Library of Bhara ya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram
Pratap Nagar ini ated an ac vity ‘Believe in yourself’ a
bookmark making ac vity.
What is a bookmark:
A bookmark is a thin marking tool, commonly made of
card, leather, or fabric, used to keep track of a reader's
progress in a book and allow the reader to easily return to
where the previous reading session ended.
Alternate materials for bookmarks are paper, metals like
silver and brass, silk, wood, cord (sewing), and plas c.
Some books may have one or more bookmarks made of
woven ribbon sewn into the binding. Other bookmarks
incorporate a page-flap that enables them to be clipped
on a page.
The main objec ve of the ac vity is to inculcate reading
among the students and during reading they will use their
own created and designed bookmarks during the reading
and during their library periods.
What to do in the ac vity:
Ÿ A sample bookmark is given on page 2 of this
document.
Ÿ Students need to take printout of page 2 (second
sheet) of this document or they can DRAW THE SAME
template.
Ÿ Students have to create their own design on the back
side of the bookmark.
Ÿ It is mandatory to fill the given entries and paste a
passport size photograph on the front side.
Ÿ This ac vity is COMPULSORY FOR ALL.
