Lesson development:

Lesson development:
Activity 1:
1. Pre-teach start and cover. Play the recording. (CD2 rack 34)
2. Act out the story to the class. (Super Minds page 68)
3. Play the recording again. Pupils act out the story with you.
4. Distribute worksheets to pupils. Pupils look at the pictures and try to sequence them.
5. Play the recording a third time for pupils to sequence the pictures.
6. They compare the order in pairs. Check with the class.
Activity 2:
9. Demonstrate the activity for the class.
10. Pupils say a sentence for their partner to act out. Give them a few examples. (Sit on the
floor. Close your eyes. Take your pencil.)
11. Give students time to prepare their sentences. Help with vocabulary as appropriate.
12. Do the activity in open pairs.
Post-lesson:
1. Distribute double door interactive notebooks to pupils.
2. Pupils read the sentences.
3. Pupils cut the pictures from worksheet 1 and match them to the corresponding sentences.
4. They compare their ideas in pairs.
5. Play the recording again for them to check their answers.

Lesson development:
1. Talk through the instructions with pupils and make sure they know what to do.(SB page 69)
2. Pupils work in pairs.
3. Distribute mahjong papers/manila cards to pairs.
4. Pupils write the days of the week and their names on their posters.
5. Pupils think of things they do on in the week and find pictures on the Internet.
6. Guide them to print the pictures. (use pictures from magazines)
7. Pupils cut out the pictures and stick them on their posters.
8. Guide them to write one simple sentence to describe each activity. Remind them to use
capital letters and full stops appropriately in writing sentences. Provide sentence structure if
necessary.
9. e.g. I + verb + on + day+s. —> I play football on Mondays.
10. Monitor and help as and when necessary.
11. Display the posters.
12. Conduct gallery walk.
Post-lesson:
1. Distribute a picture dictionary page of days of the week to each pupil.
2. In pairs, they take turns to point to one of the pictures and say/spell the word.
3. Then pupils write the words under the pictures.
