Lesson development:
Activity 1:
1. Distribute worksheets.
2. Get the pupils to talk about the pictures.
3. Play CD2 track 25 SB p61.
4. Play the recording. Pupils point.
5. Play the recording again. Pupils circle the correct words.
6. Check with the class.
Activity 2:
7. Distribute speaking cards.
8. Draw pupils’ attention to the pictures.
9. Guide pupils to ask and answer the questions based on the pictures and the words given.
10. Organise pupils into small groups/pairs.
11. Pupils take turns to practise the question and answers.
12. Teacher randomly calls a few pairs/groups to role-play asking and answering questions.
Post-lesson:
1. Play the “Catch and Answer” game.
2. Write on the board a question from the lesson in jumbled word order for students to unjumble.
3. Pupils read the questions aloud.
4. Randomly throw the ball to one of the pupils.
5. The pupil catches the ball and answer the question.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 a few times.

Lesson development:
1. Pupils work in pairs/small groups.
2. Distribute a set of picture cards from the story.
3. Pupils listen to the recording.
4. Next, pupils sequence the pictures according to what they heard in the story.
5. If pupils have difficulty sequencing the pictures encourage them to look at the characters, events and
movements within each picture and think back to what they heard in the story.
6. Once pupils have put the pictures into the correct sequence, replay the recording to see if the pictures are in
the correct order.
Post-lesson:
1. Distribute worksheets.
2. Play the recording.
3. Pupils listen to the dialogues and tickj the corresponding characters.
4. Discuss the answers.

3. Read through the questions with students, checking understanding of new language (possessive ’s,
do, how many).
4. Play the recording through twice, pausing in between to give students thinking time.
5. Pupils compare their answers in pairs/small groups.
6. Check with the class, playing the recording a third time.
Post-lesson:
1. Distribute worksheets.
2. Guide pupils to match the phrases to form correct sentences.
3. Then, pupils rewrite the sentences.
4. Closure: Pupils name a few free time activities. Write pupils’ responses on the board in circle map
form.
