LEARNING Ask and answer about free time activities using the present simple
OBJECTIVE(S) tense in 3 simple phrases correctly and 5 simple sentences with
guidance .
Pre-lesson
1. Review free time activities .
Lesson delivery ( SB page 61 )
1. Ask the pupils some questions and prompt them a short
answer : Yes , I do / No , I don’t .
2. Pupils ask and answer the same question around the class in
open pairs .
3. Provide another statement e.g : I play the piano on Tuesdays
LEARNING and continue .
OUTLINES 4. Pupils look at the pictures . Elicit what they can see to check
understanding of watch TV.
5. Play the recording and pupils point .
6. Pupils circle the correct words .
7. Compare the answers in pairs .
8. Check with the class .

2. Use these to recap the story .

4. Pupils read the four sentences silently and choose the best one.

7. Present the letter U .

9. Repeat the sentence as a class without the recording , say it
loudly , slowly , quickly , whisper it etc.
