COMPILATION
OF ART PATTERNS

Interior Designer: Shaira Mae D. Yecpot

This paper contains various architectures and structures found in the locality
Dipolog City Hall located at Rizal Avenue Street, Central Barangay, Dipolog City

The Dipolog City Hall is a perfect example of an architecture portraying Fibonacci

sequence and the golden ratio. It uses fractal patterns as seen in the repeated columns and

balusters of the building and as well its repeated designs of hallways and railings at the upper

and lower storey. The city hall is conspicuously eye-catching to the public. The design is

inspired by the architectures during the Baroque period. It’s facade does not show up much

details which actually makes it soothing to the eyes and allows it to complement elegance

with its actual purpose as a public or government property.

D’hotel and Suites located at Rizal Avenue Street Corner Osmeña Street, Central Barangay, Dipolog City

D’hotel and Suites is a very attractive building along the busy road of the city proper. After

passing by the City Hall of Dipolog, this another fascinating building would absolutely turn your

heads up high. This building obviously displays fractal pattern due to its windows that are

installed in the same size, shape, type and its blue-light color effect. Moreover the walls is also
embedded in square and rectangular shapes which intensifies the patterns as it complements

with the wide rows of window pane.

Devotional Area of Saint Vincent Ferrer at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary
The gate-like barrier of the devotional area of Saint Vincent Ferrer located at the left

corner of the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral building is designed with mostly

spiral bars mainly connected to its posts from side to side. If you are to examine the picture

closely, you would also notice the fractal patterns of the golden chain-like edges of the walls

behind the patron and as well as the short square recessed pillars.
Galeria Indelecia (Good Times Café) at Lopez Jaena Street Corner Garcia, Biasong, Dipolog City

Galeria Indelecia commonly known as Good Times Café is a popular and on of the

most-visited tourist spot and resting place in the city which is not that exposed to the busy

streets— a perfect place to relax and unwind yourself from the reality. The picture shows the

façade at the entrance of the place. Looking closely at it, you will see the voronoi patterns of
the embedded glasses and marbles on the wall along to the floor. The place is actually full of

these patterns from its walls and floors mostly at the entrance and at the garden.

Here is a better look of its facade or exterior designs at the entrance.

Staircase of Lapinig Family’s Home at Sulangon, Dapitan

At first glance, you would notice the captivating spiral shape of the black staircase

with golden spiral patterns in its railings— this is a perfect example of a structure with spiral

pattern. It has a single bar or pillar at the center to serve as a firm support or foundation in
this structure considering the design or pattern it uses. Thus, the rectangular treads of the stair

follows the pattern as well.
