CJ series Junction Box Manual

1. General
Variations of load cell materials and manufacturing processes can cause the

parameters of a load cell to vary. The potentiometer in junction box can be adjusted to

maintain stable load cell sensitivity and the balance of a weighing instrument.

2. Model names
Model Meaning Details
C Caisun
J Junction box
4 numbers of load cell can be connected 2-12 pcs load cell
G Connector material G is normal connector, and Y is IP68 connector
C Junction box type Type A, B, C, D, T, and Type XH
E Junction box operation E is excitation voltage adjustment
SP is signal adjustment by normal resistance
SJ is signal adjustment by precision resistance
DL is to connect digital load cell

5. Method of Calculation and Adjustment:

W: potentiometer, initially for 0 / 25 Ω (if sensitivity mV/V of each load cell is

consistent, adjustment can be omitted).

E: for voltage of meter’s output

J: for load cell

U: for voltage at both sides of potentiometer W

N: for displayed figure at corner’s weighing

Ui = [(Nlarge – Nsmall) ÷ Nsmall] × E (V)

Ui = [(Nlarge - Nsmall) ÷ Nsmall] × E × 1000 (mV)
For example, 5 ton is weighed on corners of a 30t electronic vehicle weighing

apparatus, 4 corners are displayed as:

N1=5010, N2=5000, N3=5000, N4=4990 voltage: E=12V

1st point: To adjust potentiometer W1 and simultaneously monitor U1 to 48.1mV

2nd and 3rd points: To adjust potentiometers W2 and W3, and simultaneously monitor

U2, U3 to 24.05mV.
