WHAT IS BIOENERGY?
Bioenergy is a type of renewable energy that is
produced from the use of organic and industrial
matter formed in some biological or mechanical
process, generally from the substances that
constitute living beings or their remains and
residues.
WHAT IS BIOMASS
Biomass is basically a source of solar energy
stored by plants through the process of
photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, carbon
dioxide and water vapor are captured, which, with
the help of sunlight, are converted into glucose,
which gives rise to starches, cellulose,
hemicellulose, and lignin, among others.
