BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE (BNC)

BARANGAY MINTAL, TUGBOK DISTRICT, DAVAO CITY

FIRST QUARTER 2022

The Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) of Barangay Mintal has a total

estimated population of 15,372 for the Calendar Year 2022. It has estimated pre-
schoolers of 0-59 months old of 1,539. The Barangay Nutrition Scholar, Barangay
Health Workers, Barangay Council for Women, Purok Leaders and other interested
mothers were able to weigh 1,515 pre-schoolers with an OPT average of 98.4 % in
which 26 children are underweight (UW), 13 severely underweight (SUW) with a total
of 39 with a prevalence of 2.57%.

Also, the BNC has an estimated PS of 1,539, 0-59 months old out of 1,515
with an OPT average of 98.4% in which 37 stunted (S) and 13 severely stunted
(SST) with a total of 50 children with a prevalence rate of 3.30%. In addition, out of
1,515 weighed pre-schoolers, 6 are wasted (W), 5 severely wasted (SW), total of 11
with prevalence rate of 0.72%.

These are the actual data gathered during the conduct of the “Oplan
Timbang” for the 1st quarter of the calendar year 2022.
