4.0 Material
5.0 Procedure
1 Drive the working platform/cabin by hoist to a suitable height to fix the next guide rail
joints.
2 Engage the safety gear and connect the safety / parking chain.
3 Lift the next guide rail and place the guide rail in position. Fix the guide rail to the fish
plate with hand tight bolts. Lower the sliding clamp and remove it. Align the joint and
tighten the bolts.
4 Drive the working platform to the next wall fixing bracket level. Fix the guide rail to the
bracket and align by using the aligner.
5 Install the guide rails up to the top of the elevator shaft.
6 Mark the center line of the counter weight (CWT) guides on to the rear wall using a
radius stick.
7 Mark the CWT plumb lines position as per layout drawing and hang the plumb lines to
the pit.
8 Install the four no lowest CWT guide brackets in position, lift the first CWT guide rail
and fix it to the guide brackets with correct guide clips.
9 Set the alignment tool and align the guide rails, check the Distance between Guides
