Dear Jose Rizal,

I've only been in this crazy world for about twenty years, and I've only recently
learned certain facts about you during that time. Because the world is changing at a
rapid pace, many of us may have forgotten about December 30. Because I am an
immature descendant, I will never comprehend the magnitude of your
accomplishments. As a token of appreciation for all of the wonderful things you have
done for us, I am sending you this letter.
I didn't see you, I didn't know you personally but I still want to know you more by
reading your books, your history and story of your life. When I was a child, i heard
your name because you were a hero of our country. Even though I didn't know how
to read before, I always asking my parents why or how you became a hero and until
now I'm still researching about what you've done and what are the behavior do you
have and I wish I had too. I want to become a hero like you. I know that you are
smart, responsible person.
With your sharp intellect and patriotism, you ushered in reforms in our country.
You had a huge impact on the country, and I appreciate that. You reawakened the
dormant nationalism and patriotism of our people. You are a gifted individual, and I
thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting forth the effort.
