CONTINUOUS
Present continuous uses
✔ It has different uses, but in this term we are going to use it to talk about things happening at the
moment of speaking.

✔ Cosas ocurriendo en este preciso momento, por ejemplo:

❖ My students are learning the present continuous tense.


❖ The teacher is explaining one of the Present Continuous uses.
❖ Haider and Alejandro are paying attention to class.
❖ Sara is taking notes.

• Cuando preguntas con “Who” (quién), en la pregunta no puedes colocar el sujeto porque precisamente no se
sabe quién es:
Question: Who is playing the guitar now?
Answer: Maria is playing the guitar now

• Cuando preguntas “What” (qué) está haciendo alguien, NO debes colocar el verbo de acción correspondiente
a la actividad, pues en la lógica NO se sabe que está haciendo. En su defecto utilizas el verbo hacer en ingles
con “ing” (DOING). Mira los siguientes ejemplos
Correcto: What is she doing now? = qué está haciendo ella ahora?
Incorrecto: What is she playing the guitar now ? = qué estás tocando la guitarra ella ahora ?
