BRAKE

Definition of the brakes

1 : Brake is a device for arresting or preventing the motion of a mechanism usually by means
of friction apply the brakes took his foot off the brake.

2 : something used to slow down or stop movement or activity use

• Drum brake

Drum brake

The drum brake has a metal brake drum that


encloses the brake assembly at each wheel.
Disk brake
▶ In a disc brake, the fluid from themaster cylinder is
forced into a caliper where it presses against a piston
Hydraulic brake

Hydraulics brake is the use of a liquid under pressure to transfer force or motion,
or increase an applied force.

The pressure on a liquid is called hyraulic pressure.

And the brakes which are operated by means of hydraulic pressure are
called hydraulic brakes.
