Human Resource Management – the art and science


of acquiring, maintaining and developing people in
their jobs in light of their personal, professional, and
technical knowledge, skills, potentialities, needs and
values, and in synchronization with the achievement
of individual, organization and society’s goal.
JOB ORGANIZATION & INFORMATION
Job Organization & Information – an offshoot of the
organization structure which clearly delineates the different
departments, divisions, sections, and unit in light of its
philosophy, resources and needs?

ACQUISITION OF HUMAN RESOURCE


Acquisition of HR – the function of the HRM which involves
human resource planning, recruitment, screening, selection
and placement so that organization will have the right
number of the appropriate kind of people at the proper time
and proper place.
Phases of Acquisition of Human Resource
1.Human Resource Planning – the process of
anticipating the manpower needs of the
organization in light of its goals and putting
them in formal written form for
implementation.

2.Recruitment – the search for potential


applicants for actual and anticipated vacant
positions in the organization.
3.Screening – the process of sifting the good applicants
from the host of recruits.

4.Selection – choosing the best among the screened


applicants.

5.Placement – the determination of the specific branch,


department, division, section, or unit where the
individual is to be assigned for work.
