CRITERIA FOR STUDENT LEADER SELECTION and RECOGNITION


Rationale
These awards have been designed to formally recognize the
outstanding performance and achievement of learners in academics,
leadership, and social responsibility, among other aspects of student
progress and development. These awards are given to encourage learners
to strive for excellence and to become proactive members of the school and
community.

Objectives
In order to maintain a consistency in the students activity of the
Student Organizations on Saint Theresa College of Tandag, Inc. The School
and the Office of the Student Affairs and Services have formulated the
criteria for evaluation of the Student leaders who are performing beyond the
expectation of the school abiding with the school policies and guidelines.

The main objectives are as follows:


 Promotes and support the religious activities of the Academe
 Produce leaders who are GOD fearing and are devoted to serve;
 Promoting of Students self-discipline
 Visionary for the purpose of betterment of the organization;
 Collaboration with various Organization according to its program plan
and activity;
 Goals Oriented with the perseverance of a good leader ;
 Promotes smooth and harmonious student engagement;
 Practically equipped with the sense of Leadership orientation.

CRITERIA FOR STUDENT EVALUATION


RESPONSIBILITY 10%
 fulfils responsibilities and commitments within the learning
environment;
 completes and submits all documents and reports of every activity
according to agreed-upon timelines;
 takes responsibility for and manages own behavior;
 Documents all the activities prescribed by the Office of the Student
Services and files an evaluation and accomplishment updates and
report.

ORGANIZATION 10%

 devises and follows a plan and process for completing work and tasks;
 establishes priorities and manages time to complete tasks and achieve
goals;
 identifies, gathers, evaluates, and uses information, technology, and
resources to complete tasks;
 Established a clear program proposal before the start of the Academic
Year.

INDEPENDENT WORK 5%

 independently monitors, assesses, and revises plans to complete tasks


and meet goals;
 uses class time appropriately to complete tasks; follows instructions
with minimal supervision.

COLLABORATION 30%

 accepts various roles and an equitable share of work in a group;


 responds positively to the ideas, opinions, values, and traditions of
others;
 builds healthy peer-to-peer relationships through personal and media-
assisted interactions;
 works with others to resolve conflicts and build consensus to achieve
group goals;
 shares information, resources, and expertise and promotes critical
thinking to solve problems and make decisions;
 Shares knowledge and initiate activities responsible for the
community.

INITIATIVE 25%

 looks for and acts on new ideas and opportunities for learning;
 demonstrates the capacity for innovation and a willingness to take
risks;
 demonstrates curiosity and interest in learning;
 approaches new tasks with a positive attitude;
 recognizes and advocates appropriately for the rights of self and
others;
 Initiates activities with a sense of humanitarian and voluntary acts.

SELF-REGULATION 20%

 sets own individual goals and monitors progress towards achieving


them;
 seeks clarification or assistance when needed;
 assesses and reflects critically on own strengths, needs, and interests;
 identifies learning opportunities, choices, and strategies to meet
personal needs and achieve goals;
 perseveres and makes an effort when responding to challenges.
