A. Technical
 The Panel shall be suitable for operation at 415VAC (+/-)5%, 50 Hz, 3-phase, 4-Wire+E
system.
 The Panel shall be fabricated out of 1.6/2.0mm. CRCA Sheet steel.
 Panel will be free standing, floor mounting type having provision for cable entry from
bottom and suitable for indoor installation.
 The panel will be extensible type in design with dust and vermin proofing.
 The Panel will confirm to "IS 8623/IEC-61439-1&2-Factory built assemblies of switchgear
and control gear and is 4237-General requirement of switchgear & Control gear for voltage
not exceeding 1000"V.

B. Sheet Metal Work

 The switchgear frame shall be fabricated using mild steel structure sections of pressed and
shaped cold rolled sheet steel of thickness not less than 1.6mm.
 Frame shall be enclosed by sheet steel of thickness not less than 1.6mm. cold rolled smoothly
finished leveled and free from flaws, doors and covers shall be cold rolled sheet.
 Stiffeners shall be provided wherever necessary.
 Cut-Outs shall be true in shape and devoid of sharp edges.
 The complete structure shall be rigid, self-supporting and free from vibrations, twists and
bends.

C. Powder Coating

After pre-treatment component will hang in powder coating booth and powder is sprayed on the
component up-to 60 micron. After powder coating, panel kept in oven and metal temp. 1800
C.and oven temperature 2000 C.- 2100 C. is given to component up-to 10 minutes..

D. Bus Bars
 Bus Bars shall be of uniform cross section throughout the length of the switchgears and will
be housed in a separate compartment.
 The bus bars shall be of High Conductivity Electrical Al. flats as per requirement (Current
density: 0.8Amp/mm sq.) and shall be supported on SMC/DMC supports of suitable
thickness.
 Bus Bars will be insulated with heat shrinkable sleeves and codified in Red, Yellow, Blue
and Black colours as per standard practice.
 Bus Bars shall be adequately supported to withstand the stresses arising during transient
conditions.

E. Internal Wiring
 Wiring inside the switchgear shall be carried out with 1100 Volts grade, PVC Flexible
Copper wire.
 Minimum size of conductor for power circuits is 1.5 Sq.mm copper. Control circuits shall be
wired with copper conductor of at least 1.5 sq. mm for CT circuits and other circuits.

F. Labels
 All labels shall comprise white letters on black background/ black letters on white
background.
 Labels shall be made of engraved/printed PVC sheet.

G. Earthing
 Panel shall be provided with G.I. earth bus bars (Both ends) running along the entire length
of the board.
 Earth Bus Bar shall be supported at suitable intervals.

H. Testing
Prior to dispatch, the panel will be subject to :
 Operation test.
 Insulation test at 2.5 kV for 1 Minute.
 Megger test by 1000 V megger.
