Kayfer's Best

Do you love eating? What are some of your favorite foods? Is there anything you'd like to eat
for snacks? Valerie Kayne A. Melocotones, age 21, is a seller of foods and snacks that you will
most likely enjoy eating and maybe some of the snack is your favorite.

She had a son who was never been born in this world. Despite of her loneliness, the feeling of
being lost, she stood up bravely for her son and build a small business named after him, the
"Kayfer's Best".

She's a student, a distance modular learning student who's very hard working person. She sells
snacks while studying to supplement her allowance and savings. She started her small business
with her sister, April Hannie A. Melocotones, a faculty teacher in Moriones High School as her
business partner. As the pandemic continues, they started their business on July 21, 2021. Her
sister was the one who provided the funding for their starting business. They sell snacks such as
Lumpiang gulay, Lumpiang shanghai, Pancit, Palabok, Spaghetti, Breadrolls, and Maja.

The Lumpiang Shanghai and Lumpiang Gulay cost 5 pesos per piece and 350 for one bilao.
One tub of pancit, palabok, and spaghetti costs 25 pesos, and 450 pesos for one bilao. Breadrolls
cost 10 pesos per piece, 25 pesos for one tub, and 350 pesos for one bilao. And the maja costs
450 pesos for one bilao. The small size of bilao is worth 450 pesos and 600 pesos for the medium
size.

And because her neighbors enjoy snacks, they attempted to sell snacks, which led to the
establishment of their small business. The needs of her customers are the thing she considered
when deciding what she would sell. She used to only sell bread rolls until they asked for other
snacks and began ordering in bulk.

Because she's a distance learning student, "Since modular distance learning ako,
nakakapagtinda ako sa umaga at nakakapagsagot ako ng mga modules ko sa gabi." The 30% of
the income from snack sales is invested in the business, and the other 70% of the income goes to
her savings and allowance.

She's planning to continue her business until the business that they built from little investment,
grew. She will still continue her studies and saving money for her future.
Her advice to those students who want to start selling, "Ang advice ko lang ay dapat nilang
aralin at planuhing mabuti ang lahat kung magnenegosyo sila. I-consider kung sino ang mga
customers at depende sa needs ng mga bebentahan kung suitable ba yung sisimulang business o
hindi."

Her life philosophies, "Kung may itatanim, may aanihin. Kung may maiipon, may madudukot
sa oras ng pangangailangan. Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan nating magsave at mag-ipon para sa
future dahil hindi palaging masagana. Always think positive in life, kahit na mahirap, laban
lang."
