A SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
- Recognize what is a Character
- Identify the two types of Character
- Compare the dynamic and static character

A. Preparatory Activity
- Greetings
The teacher will greet the students a good morning.
- Prayer
The teacher will ask one student to lead the prayer.
- Cleanliness of the classroom
The teacher will ask the students to pick up the pieces of paper and sit properly.
- Checking the Attendance

B. Developmental Activities
Activity
The teacher will introduce the game called “Say my name”. The teacher will be
flashing images of some characters in any cartoon movie/show. The task is they need to
say the name of the character that is being flashed by the teacher.

Analysis

 What are the ideas that comes to your mind that has a connection to our
topic?
 Based on our activity, what do you think our topic for today?

 What is the difference between static and dynamic character
Application
The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will present their activity:
Group 1: Present a short skit containing a static and dynamic characters.
Group 2: Choose 2 characters in any movie or fairytales then create a Venn
diagram
Group 3: Draw/Illustrate a static character and dynamic character
Group 4: Make a short poem describing the static and dynamic character.

Evaluation
Choose the dynamic character in the story “A Shawl for Anita” then list down the
qualities of the character from the beginning of the story and list down the qualities of the
character towards the end of the story.
