work more manageable and approachable. For projects, the Work Breakdown Structure
(WBS) is the tool that utilizes this technique and is one of the most important project
management documents. It singlehandedly integrates scope, cost and schedule baselines
ensuring that project plans are in alignment.
There are two types of WBS:
1) Deliverable-Based
2) Phase-Based (The most common and preferred approach)
➢ In our project, we used the deliverable base as it has many benefits, including:
Our project describes a house of 186.75 m² located in the neighborhood of Abu Obeida
and consists of two floors: a ground floor and a stair repeater.
In order to calculate house quantities, the first step must calculate the amounts of drilling
and backfilling that exist by dividing the area into small areas. The second step calculates
how much concrete exists by calculating concrete for foundations and bridges, bases and
so on. The third step calculates the amount of steel for walls, columns, beams, stairs….
etc. The Fourth step is the finishing phase for walls, miners, tiles, paint, ceramics, etc.
