22, 2019 signed RA 11229 which mandates the use of child


restraint systems (CRS)  took effect in February 2021, after it was approved on 23
December 2019. 
The law, which disallows children 12 years old and below who are shorter that 4’11
from sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Under the law, a private car
owner should purchase and install CRS or car seat that is approved by the Department

choose senior citizens."
