Job Description:-
John Zink Hamworthy Combustion is a global leader in Oil and Gas Sector
especially in Combustion systems having Products such as Thermal Oxidizers, Flares,
Burners and Vapor recovery units required in the Oil and Gas sector to control the
emissions and helping to protect the environment. Also offering technology in utilizing
energy from the waste gases generated in the various processes. Vapor recovery units are
designed in such a way to recover the precious fuels from the vapors.
John Zink Hamworthy Combustion headquartered in United states also have regional
offices across the globe. I am working in the India office located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai
mainly supporting all other offices for Design and Engineering Activities.
Working for all product groups of John Zink Hamworthy Combustion viz.Thermal
Oxidizer, Vapor recovery systems, Burners and Flares. As a structural engineer I am
mainly responsible for following activities—
Pressure Vessels:-
Performing Strength calculations for various pressure retaining vessels as per
ASME Section VIII Division-1 along with applicable customer specifications
using softwares like COMPRSS, PV-Elite.
Local analysis for the connected nozzles for nozzle loads using applicable WRC
bulletins and Finite Element Analysis.
Calculations for vessel supporting arrangement, its lifting and transportation
analysis including Wind and Seismic Calculations.
Use of other applicable softwares and developed excel programmes for other
strength calculations such as loads of attached equipments, calculations for
thermal loads, and foundation load calculations.
Steel Structures:-
Calculations for Supporting structure for the equipments, piping, skid mounted
equipments, platforms etc with considering all occasional loads combinations as
per the customer specified documents.
Calculations for lifting and shipping for the skids along with mounted
equipments.

Piping Stress Analysis:-
Piping stress analysis as per ASME B 31.1, 31.3 for the connected piping using
CAESAR II.
Evaluation of nozzle loads, effect of thermal expansion, and other applicable
occasional loading such as wind, seismic, discharge loads are considered during
analysis and providing the support types & locations.
Preparation of Spring hanger, Expansion bellow specifications as per the outputs
of stress analysis.

Job Description:-
Proficient in designing the boiler pressure parts complying various domestic and
international standards such as IBR, ASME Sec I, BS1113 and BS EN 12952.
Detailed designing of boiler & auxiliary non pressure parts such as boiler and
pressure vessels supporting arrangements, ducting, duct supports etc.

Assisting proposal and marketing departments by providing detailed design inputs
for preparing cost estimates.
Calculation of equipment load data for structural and foundation design. Design
of supporting structures using Staad-pro.
