Glenshire Commons and Lake Association Board Meeting August 18, 2021

Present: Clark Ahlden, Lee Alexander, Pete Fernandes, Sharon Hecht, Susan Johnston, Chance Riggins
and Judy Seyb.

Call to order: Susan called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. The minutes of the July 21, 2021 meeting
were read. Clark moved to accept the minutes. Lee seconded. The motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report: Chance presented his report. Clark moved to approve accept the report as
presented. Pete seconded, and the motion passed. Chance reports that the GCLA is once again a
corporation in good standing registered with the State of Illinois!

Lake Commons Maintenance: Susan made a motion that she and Sharon proceed with hiring
someone to trim and prune low-hanging and dead branches from trees in the commons area after
getting a reasonable quote. The motion was properly seconded and carried. Sharon will also consult
with someone about working on a few of the existing beds and installing a new bed around the
boulder in the commons behind JK’s property on Glenshire. The latter will perhaps consist of a few
shrubs.

Lake Maintenance: Susan reports that algae and weed growth have slowed, but she will continue to
monitor. Susan moved that we purchase $200 worth of fish for restocking. These will consist of
bluegill, sunfish and catfish in the “medium” size range. Grass seed will be sown in mid-September in
three bare patches around the lake. Susan will contact the relevant homeowners with watering
instructions.

Website: Lee reports no activity on the site. The May meeting minutes were posted, and he will post
them for June and July.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be Wednesday, September 15th, at 6:30 pm on Sharon’s
property. The annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 5th at 6 pm at the South Dock. Susan
will send out postcards to the homeowners in early September for the annual meeting.

Susan adjourned the meeting at 7:10 pm.
