The Glenshire Commons and Lake Association Board met on July 7, 2015. Susan treated the pond for algae and Paul reported there were 7 goose nests this spring. Sharon received a clean-up proposal from Brown Woods for the flower beds and will get cost estimates for maintenance and redoing 3 beds. Susan will research treatment for ash borers affecting trees in the commons area. Stephanie will send a postcard to all homeowners reminding them not to litter in the lake instead of sending individual letters. Pete will call the painting company about peeling paint on the docks. The next meeting will be on August 11 at Sharon's house.

Minutes: Minutes from the June 2, 2015 meeting were read. Sharon motioned to accept the minutes, Susan seconded. Motion passed. Treasurers report: Paul presented the treasurers report. Susan motioned to accept the report. Pete seconded. Motion passed. Pond Control: Susan treated for algae. Paul reports there were 7 goose nests with a total of 46 eggs this spring. Neighbors: there are two houses for sale. Scouts: Clark expects the scouts will come out since July fourth has passed. Website: Stephanie will post June minutes. Landscaping and Commons: concerning the flower beds, Sharon received a clean-up proposal from Brown Woods. She will find out what maintenance cost would be and ask about cost of redoing 3 of the beds. She will ask for an explanation of the labor cost on the clean-up proposal. Susan will research treatment for the ash borer, concerning the two ash trees in the commons area. New Business: Stephanie did not send a letter to homeowners whose lake commons areas have only a thin border of rock to remind them to take care to not disturb the rock. Instead she will send a postcard to all lake homeowners with the reminder to not throw anything into the lake, such as litter, weeds, rock. Sharon reports paint on both docks is starting to peel, ripple and fade. Pete will call the company which did the painting last year in order to have them come out and take a look at the docks.
